Pros: Staff; large, clean rooms; breakfast; clean grounds; and daily activities.
Cons: Get an upstairs bedroom. The hotel is old and has EXTREMELY creaky subfloors. If you're not on the same schedule as your upstairs neighbor, you won't be getting much sleep.
I’ve stayed here several times over the last 18 months and every time is great. Not the newest hotel but it’s clean and has character: I’m a +50 night per year hotel traveler and am strict about clean rooms.
The best part of this hotel is the location. There’s a beautiful hike right behind the hotel, and it’s one that is not overcrowded.
The room views can be a let down if your expectations are very high. But it’s still Sedona so there aren’t any bad views. The property is right near a road so don’t expect a quiet view all the time.
Overall love this property all around.
My husband and I were super excited to stay at Arabella, and we made sure to book the premium courtyard king view. We thought that would guarantee scenic views from the comfort of our hotel room. It would almost be funny how obstructed our view of the Red Rocks was if the room wasn’t so expensive. We were placed in a ground floor room that sits directly in front of several buildings and obstructs much of the Red Rocks. The running joke before arrival was “it would be so funny if they put us in a room with a subpar view,” and unfortunately our joke became manifest. $500 for a one night stay to not even have a decent view was incredibly disappointing. Arabella itself is conveniently located and for that reason I added a star, but to pretend this is anything but a slightly elevated motel would be disingenuous.

Pros: amazing views and trail heads on the property provide unlimited fun/hiking for the adventure seeker. The housekeeping was also great, room was clean. Plenty to do around the property.
Cons: The younger guy at the front desk is cocky and and rude. There was a surprise "resort fee" at the end of the stay (equating to approximately $300 for our stay), rooms are dated and in need of sound proofing (could hear the stomping of the second floor above you, making it hard to sleep...perhaps they should use the resort fee to better upgrade the rooms).

The location was great but the room we were in was incredibly small and dated (not at all what we expected). We thought we would have a balcony and did not, and then the bathroom was super small as was the room (barely enough space for a family of four). The beds were also not comfortable. It appeared that there were nicer rooms that were more spacious closer to the pool, but overall the pictures were deceiving. I will say that breakfast included was nice, and the location overall was great. Staff was also nice.
