  This is a very nice hotel! 15 minutes walk from Old town Schotsdale. Very modern, clean, big rooms! The lady at the reception is very helpfull.

  This hotel is wonderful for a person on a budget. Staff is always available both front desk and housekeeping. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the front desk staff night shift was so beyond helpful and nice. All three nights, no matter what time of night, night staff consisting of Ryikell and Leah treated me like a valued friend, not just a guest.

  We came from out of state for the Every Woman's Marathon. This location was close to the race finish and it had a pool... or so we thought. We booked the room through Expedia, show up to check in, and after the kid at the desk checks us in, he notified us that the pool is shut down "because the county closed it." Wait... what? The county only closes things when they are dangerous or pose a health risk. And the pool was a key reason we chose that particular hotel. We asked the kid for a discount, a transfer to a different Home2, or a refund but he said that wasn't permitted and that he couldn't do that. He was so rude, did not look for a solution, and didn't bother helping resolve the issue! We decided to go to a different Home 2 closet to race start and my friend spent hours working with Expedia and the original Home 2. Ultimately, Expedia was who came through for us with a refund as the hotel refused to make it right. That is false advertisement. If you say you have a pool but then it's not open for the public, that needs to be mentioned on the website and then if that doesn't work for a customer, you apologize and work towards a solution! This was absolutely unacceptable! The kid needs to learn customer service if he's gonna work the front desk and the company needs to value their customers more! And maybe maintain the standards of their pool so the country doesn't shut it down "for a reason they can't discuss." That seems super sketchy! Will never return to a Home2!

  Pros - Room is decently nice, but I think I might have been staying in a suite. Has a balcony, desk chair is actually pretty good if you're planning on working from your room. Guy on front desk on the evening shift is helpful, staff I've interacted with are helpful Cons - Mainly don't understand why they don't have stove tops in their suites. They have cooking utensils like spatulas and whisks but no stove or oven to do any cooking. Was a big let down from that perspective.

  Made a reservation two months in advance. Arrived to check in and the sewage smell was unbearable! Spoke to GM who was rude and only wanted to cancel my reservation. After I questioned the safety of the noxious gasses literally filling the lobby, he became angry tried to physically pull papers from my hands. He then informed me he was canceling my reservation and stormed away. I asked him to call the police and when the police arrived, I filed a complaint. I found another hotel, and after inquiring to a few discovered that several customers had left due to the sewer gases at this hotel. I believe that he became angry and canceled my reservation because he didn’t want me to complain. Very disappointing situation as I am a loyal Hilton client worldwide.
