The hotel was very convenient to get to from the airport with great shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant was great. We loved Brandon the bartender. Our balcony opened to Scottsdale Road and was across from the elevator. I was worried about noise, and it was not an issue. I appreciated the spacious rooms. My only complaint was the mattress. Our mattress was awful! My husband and I literally rolled to the center of bed because it sloped to the center. I felt like I slept at an angle all night, and my back sure felt it after 2 nights. Our friends that stayed in other rooms didn’t have the same issue, so maybe a fluke issue. I’d ask to not stay in room 457 unless they have replaced the mattress.

I honestly don't understand the higher than 2 or 3 stars for this hotel! I had issues with my door lock multiple times that ended up being battery issues that needed to be fixed by maintenance! The staff doesn't seem to care much about your comfort! A few times I needed help getting into my room I didn't hear a simple sorry from the staff! On a Sat night at dinner time after a long day out when I called for room service that was supposed to be available 4-9:30pm they said they didn't have room service due to staff shortage right there and then! If you are looking for a hotel to relax or you are there for business or sports tournaments with tight deadlines this is not a hotel for you! Not worth it at all! It is also pretty run down!

Location is prime and almost walkable to Fashion District and Old Town Scottsdale. All pools and facilities are clean, though I do think the "heated" pools could have been warmer. Cleaning and Maintenance staff were very friendly. The rooms themselves are a bit dated, mine in particular had fraying carpet in several spots. There was also some sort of debris coming from the tub when it was first run (almost like chipped paint/metal). Had a snafu with a dead card reader on the door, but staff fixed it after about 20 minutes locked out my room. Breakfast was great--not very diverse after a few days (I was there for TAPS Seminar) but got the job done.

The rooms were definitely dated, and the bathroom sliding door was extraordinarily difficult to open. Morning breakfast had decent omelettes, but the rest of the fair tended to be subpar. The fresh fruit was frozen and still had ice attached to it. Rooms are large though, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I do agree with other commenters that it’s in a great location near many attractions.
