Overall, the stay was very disappointing. The room was in poor condition and clearly not well maintained. The light did not work, the bathtub and carpet were dirty, there was black residue in the grout that looked like mold, the bathroom door was broken, and there was a hole in the ceiling near the light. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and very squeaky—any small movement caused loud noise. The HVAC filter was extremely dirty, and the shower had very low water pressure due to a clogged shower head.
We were traveling with our 6-month-old baby, which made these issues especially concerning. We woke up with headaches due to a strong paint smell coming from another room, which forced us to change rooms. Unfortunately, the new room had the same cleanliness and maintenance issues.
We also requested a pack-and-play for our baby and were given one that was dirty and broken. After asking again for a clean replacement, no one followed up.

I want to start by saying that all the staff were lovely, wonderful and attentive, but this hotel fell short from my expectations. It is understandable that they are doing renovations, but they absolutely should waive the resort fee, which is $30 a day.
Our room layout was extremely odd. The TV was on the dresser right next to the bed so you couldn’t even watch TV comfortably. What bothered me the most is the walls are practically paper thin. You can hear people outside all throughout the night and could probably hear someone cough in the room next to you. It was incredibly aggravating.
The AC did not work properly, which made the room feel musty. We would wake up in the middle of the night freezing because the heat would not turn on.
Housekeeping was awful. In the 9 nights we stayed, we had to keep reminding staff for new towels. Throughout the whole trip our shampoo and body wash was never refilled even though we asked.
The biggest perk of this hotel is the location. It can’t be beat. Hopefully when everything is renovated it will be a better place to stay.

The hotel is under massive construction. The main pool, gym and many facilities are closed or moved to temporary locations. We were not told this when we booked 2 rooms. We asked for 2 rooms away from the construction and we were given 1 room and while we waited and hoped for another room on that side of the resort, we che led out the first room. It was horrible. It looked like a motel room. The bathtub faucet was rusted and the the tile and tub were disgusting. Definitely needs to be completely updated. We also had an issue getting the patio door open so we could air out the room. The track was bent and it was very difficult.
This was not the nice resort we saw and booked! We went back to the front desk, cancelled our rooms and went down the street the wonderful Scottsdale desert and spa curio collection. The double
Tree should NOT be open during the construction.

Our first trip to Scottsdale. the next door unit had 2 dogs barks loudly and they talked loudly from 1-3am so I couldn’t sleep at all. I told resort the next day, front desk manager Catherine was very kind. She moved us to a different room and even waived the charges. I really appreciated how responsive and professional she was. The welcome cookie is freshly baked and swimming pool is huge. There is renovation going on and they close one swimming pool, but they gave 2 complementary drink for the inconveniences. We also had breakfast at the restaurant onsite and the food was nice, service was good. Overall, the stuff is really nice and they really went the extra mile to make sure people had a good time to stay there. I want to say big thanks to them.

Mediocre. The pictures look much nicer than in person. Rooms are in serious need of updating. They’re dingy and musty with an odor. Air conditioning didn’t work well and room was stuffy. I didn’t bother attempting to change rooms as I had family in 2 other rooms with the same experience. Carpet and furniture were dirty and there were visible past water stains on the ceiling. Bathroom was old and dirty, toilet flushes extremely slow. This hotel is lacking for the Scottsdale area and not 4-star. I wouldn’t stay here again.
