The service is exceptional particularly would love to mention Carmelo our breakfast waiter he was so lovely and friendly. Our bartender Meghan was also a standout so friendly. They made us feel so welcome. Also Miguel who helped us with our bags, which was not his role. Congratulations Doubletree on employing such great staff. Thank you so much for a great stay ❤️❤️❤️

Hotel being renovated. Should not be called a resort. A disgusting charge of $30 per day for nothing. They should take this charge of everyone’s bill until renovations are completed. Outside the rooms are ugly, a concrete jungle, with detours to get from anywhere to the restaurant. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

Absolutely Disgusting Stay — Never Again
I rarely leave reviews, but as someone who travels constantly for work as a pilot, I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels—and my experience at the Hilton DoubleTree Scottsdale was easily one of the worst.
The room was filthy from the moment I walked in. Stains on the carpet, grime in the bathroom, and an overall feeling that the place hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages. I figured I could just power through it for one night and move on, but that turned out to be a big mistake.
On the day of my departure, I discovered multiple bites on my arms and legs—strongly consistent with bed bugs. Finding that after already dealing with a dirty room was beyond unacceptable. For a hotel carrying the Hilton name, this was an absolute disgrace.
This was one of the most unpleasant hotel stays I’ve had in years. I will never return to this property, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Hilton should be embarrassed to have their brand on a place like this.

Just like most hotels, had a scuzzy air filter for the HVAC system and cosmetic flaws all around, kinda just getting used to it these days. Service was ok, hot water was not. Must have been the only ones with a hot water shortage. I mean when you say to the front desk, no one else has had a problem, and they reply slowly shaking their head, nope. We must have been the ONLY unlucky ones in the entire place... They kinda make everything better with there free cookies, they are delicious and you can have as many as you want, unbelievable really, idk how they do it. I watched a lady walk up and ask for 8 cookies, they just handed them to her with a smile. Nice and warm too, so tasty nice warm and fresh. Pools were nice, one was dirty one was not. The inside courtyard area was beautiful and sprawling. Carpet in the main entrance way was NASTY and needed immediate replacement. Carpet in the rooms I hope is not a thing anymore in the next, month or two... So nasty also, have no clue who thinks carpet in hotel rooms is a great idea. The ceiling in the room we had was waaaaay up there and the room itself was really nice with a huge window also to look out of. No bags in the garbage cans is gross also and we had to use our own bags from stores we shopped at. Descent place with a descent price would go again. If not just for the COOKIES!

My wife and I came to Scottsdale for a week of rest and relaxation, and the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton looked like it would be a nice place to stay. When I booked our stay using the Hilton Honors app, I noticed a small note about the lobby being under construction, which seemed like a minor inconvenience. It turned out to be a headache because the whole center of the hotel is cordoned off with a temporary fence that disrupts the ability to get anywhere in the hotel and makes the whole hotel seem disjointed. You have to walk around the hotel’s perimeter to get to the restaurant and bar, which is a pain. The exercise room (an important amenity for us) was relocated to two sleeping rooms, one of which had a serious odor issue. I am writer, and write first thing every morning for an hour. We always stay at Hiltons and I find a table in or near the breakfast bar to write so I don’t disturb my wife in the room. I’ve never had an issue until this stay. At 6:00am, after I had been there for 30 minutes, for grumpy and kicked me out because breakfast didn’t start until 7 am. I explained I was only writing and would disturb anything, but he insisted I leave. That was the last straw. We decided to complete out vacation at the nearby Hilton Scottsdale Resort. I cannot recommend the DoubleTree Resort.
