Loved it! First class all the way. Rooms are small be nicely appointed with antique furniture. Location is great and very walkable. I didn't hit the restaurant or bar. Went to the Palace for drinks which still has the 1890s bar that's still great.

Stayed here last night, it’s a historic boutique hotel , with that comes small room sizes. Rooms are nice decorated , just small, think NYC Cute restaurants with good food and a love trip playing soft music I had a slight issue as I was in the. Dog friendly room a where people open and close their door frequently and I’m a light sleeper. The front staff handled my situation wonderfully

We love the Inn, great service but what happened to the humus? It tasted like chili con carne, no bueno! The food is usually good but someone changed the humus and I would not order it again!

I want to raise a serious concern about how housekeeping staff are treated at this hotel. Guests often leave tips in the room specifically for the housekeepers who work hard to clean and maintain the rooms. However, I was informed that a supervisor may be taking those tips instead of allowing the housekeepers to keep them. If this is happening, it is extremely unfair to the staff and misleading to guests who intend their tips to go directly to the workers. I strongly encourage hotel management to investigate this issue and ensure that housekeeping employees receive the tips meant for them.

Category: Historic Hotel. If you and your dogs want to travel back in time about 100 years, book a couple of nights at this 1927 inn. Although styled as an “inn”, it reminds me of the grand hotels of yesteryear, just a little smaller. Admire its imposing red brick edifice and stroll through the porte-cochere and colonnade into the spacious lobby. This is where you’ll be temporally transported by the ornate coffered ceiling, tiled fireplace, antique shoe-shine bench, mosaic-tiled floor, comfy chairs on Oriental rugs, end tables with Tiffany lamps, Palladian doors and windows, Medieval-ish chandeliers, a grand piano and a harpsichord, and an antique telephone exchange. Because we were accompanied by our three Siberian Huskies, we chose a suite for our accommodations. The bedroom area was dominated by a king-sized bed, which was just large enough for the five of us. Antique oak furniture, Tiffany-style lamps, and a TV completed the room. The parlor had a leather sofa bed, Oriental-ish rug, TV, another chair, a small fridge, a small desk, and a couple of pieces of furniture. The bathroom was small but functional, with a powerful shower and a slow-close toilet seat (which should be mandatory in all hotels). Overall, the suite was not fancy but it was well-appointed, comfortable, and perfect for our Pack. Although the hotel allows dogs, they cannot be left unattended in the rooms, so of course they joined us for dinner. The original plan was to take them to one of several downtown restaurants with dog friendly patios. But the hotel’s lobby is dog friendly and has a couple of tables near the large window overlooking Gurley Street. We chose the table closest to the window and ordered dinner from the Peacock Room, the hotel’s casual but elevated restaurant. From our table we were able to enjoy the live music in the Historic Bar. Dinner was excellent, as was the service. And the butter was soft! Hallelujah. The dogs appreciated the water bowl provided by our attentive server. Be sure to stroll down the grand staircase to the lower level, where you will find the Peacock 🦚 Room and a couple of conference/party rooms. If you are inclined to an al fresco cocktail, you will find several tables outside the main entrance. YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice
