However, the first room I checked in smelled very bad, and I had no choice but to request a change. They helped me to get another one with no extra fee, and I appreciate that. However, the light in the new room didn't work properly, and I must call the front desk to get a technician to fix it. They came on time, and that was good, but they still could not fix the phone (it didn't work either). So the technician said they would provide wake-up service at the door, instead of a wake-up call. And they did! I appreciate it. So, my feeling was complex: the building and overall amenities were good, but I got two rooms that didn't work, which pissed me off slightly. Yet, they did try to help, so I would say the rooms are 3 out of 5 stars, but the service is 5 out of 5. BTW: my appointment didn't include breakfast. It was not a big deal, but I booked on IHG at the normal price rather than on other websites, wondering why it was included.

Overall the room was extremely outdated and in need of a deep cleaning as were the common area carpets and walls. Shuttle service runs every 30 minutes was a plus.

The breakfast was very good with a nice variety of options, the pool area was clean and relaxing, and the location was excellent close to the airport and convenient for travel. However, the room did have a mild mildew odor, and the TV selection was limited to around 40 channels, which was less than expected. With a bit more attention to room freshness and entertainment options, this hotel could easily move from a good stay to a great one.
