AN INJUSTICE TO THE NAME, DOUBLETREE!
Bottom line: The material condition is a sad story. It's unfortunate, but its location is not ideal; there are questionable characters that roam the streets outside the hotel. But the service and its amenities were top-notch.

Truly disappointed with this hotel and first one-star review I’ve felt compelled to provide.
The hotel is antiquated in an unpleasant way, with carpet throughout that is visibly dirty or in need of deep cleaning, even in the restaurant (carpet in the restaurant?). Speaking of, the food was vastly unremarkable.
This was a 2 double-bed room. The smell was musty and mildly like cigarettes. The carpet was old and in bad shape as mentioned; the beds were decent but it was pretty hard to actually rest as the walls aren’t very soundproof; we also had a room with a connecting door which made it so much worse - I could even smell the neighbor’s cologne through it.
It had a mini fridge but no microwave. The shower also smelled musty and had a deficient shower head.
I unfortunately had to call after checkout to inquire why I didn’t get my food and beverage credit for 2 people for a two-night stay. The person I spoke with was condescending and not what I’d expect of someone working in hospitality, much less for a brand (DoubleTree) that I still consider respectable. I have diamond status so I know how the benefits work, yet she argued with me about it as if I didn’t know or didn’t have enough experience with their hotels.
I’ll also mention that it was a lot more expensive than it deserved to be. Even taking into account supply and demand, I would’ve gotten a much better value for the same price in a place like SF, I’ll just say that.
It was an overall negative and unpleasant experience. I’ll be sure to stay away from this one and spend my money somewhere else next time.

Disappointed for $250 a night. Pillows were as flat as pancakes. Bedding was thin and uncomfortable. No smart tv. Really in 2025? Housekeeping cleaned the room and still trying to figure out what they did. Breakfast was horrendous. Save your money and go to McDonalds. Location was ok but the place felt so unsafe. I stayed at a work by Hilton which felt like a 5* hotel compared to this. AVOID. ****

I came in for two nights from California I barley entered the building I was disgusted about it and I was like let me check the rooms I went in it was the worst day that I booked that hotel and it smells horrible and a lot of homeless people walking outside and tweaking out they need to shut down that hotel and renovate it asap and the city need to come and inspect the building and close it down

-wifi just doesn’t work. Connected, doesn’t work. Won’t be doing any work until I get to new hotel tomorrow it seems
-no shampoo in my room, just double body wash
-old rooms
-old furniture
-old smell
-crappy lobby
-crappy entrance
-crappy decoration in rooms and on walls throughout hotel
-crappy advertisements of their cookies in elevator with gross frames and smudged up glass
-everywhere you look things are peeling and cracked
-horrible area surrounded by homeless people and druggies
All this and it somehow has 4 stars? Give me a break. Will never ever return to this hotel. (Diamond member with 177 nights of Hilton stays this year, often double tree, will likely hit 200). Hilton should tear this place down or take their name off the sign. Even the double tree cookie seemed mediocre but maybe it was just awful smell of the place ruining it. Do better. (Front desk staff are great)
