BEWARE: Lipstick on a pig! I was on a long road trip in my travel van from WA to TX for the holidays. I made Priceline reservations and prepaid, to stop at this BW to shower and get some good sleep in a real bed. Everything looks great! Very clean! Until i went to take a shower in the morning…NO HOT WATER! Only luke warm water in the sink so i literally had to bathe and wash my hair and shave parts in the sink!!! Spoke to the front desk and they said, “did you try the sink water? Did you let the shower run for a long time?” I told them “i ran the shower the entire time i bathed in the sink.” They said they “would mention it to the maintenance staff.” And that was all. I VERY rarely leave reviews (and when i do they are good reviews), this one is simply to warn others so not to have it happen to you too!

This hotel is a bit expensive for a fairly standard modern room. Our room’s AC system works differently than usual, which was a bit frustrating to figure out. However, the surrounding area is quite nice, with plenty of restaurants and fast food options nearby. Room service was also incredibly pricey. When we arrived, it seemed like there was only one person working at the front desk. Additionally, the Wi-Fi password is very easy to guess — it would be better to change it to something more secure. ⁉️

The room wasn't clean when I arrived and the manager was intentionally threatening. Someone had done the 'bare minimum', but there was hair in the shower and food splattered all up the door and door frame. I immediately asked them to clean the room again, while I ran errands. Housekeeping came back through a week in to my stay, but again, they didn't do much, just took out the trash and made the bed; dirt was left on the floor and food was smeared across the counter. After my stay, I wanted to speak to the manager and let him know that I had some concerns. I went to the front desk, the attendant was nice and said he'd bring out the manager. Then the manager came out, looked right at me, then without a word came around the counter still staring at me, and stepped close enough that I had to step back. He was a big guy, over 6ft and 275lbs or more. He was clearly trying to be intimidating. But guests should be allowed to give feedback without feeling threatened to talk about what they observed. I would have thought that a hotel chain as big as this one would want to know that housekeeping wasn't meeting standards.

Check in process was extremely slow, due to the person just walking away for 20 mins. Took 30 minutes just to check in! Took a shower to find out every bottle was empty: soap, shampoo, etc. Water flow in shower was poor, and started backing up. Terrible service. Breakfast was decent.

Nice new, clean hotel. Our bed was comfortable. Pillows were lacking. They seem to be feather pillows, but they are solid, rock hard pillows. No fluff. Buyer Beware, if you plan to use the sofa bed! Instead of a usual foam mattress, it was a spring mattress, and every spring was not only visible but felt. Our son, a grown man, had to put the couch cushions on top of the mattress and slept on them; then, the second night, went to my sister's house as she had a guest room open up. We were in town for my father's funeral. We were looking for a two room suite, but there were none available anywhere. We opted for the king suite with a sofa bed. Big mistake. The location is pretty far north. But all the places we needed to be were on the north side of Phoenix, so it worked for us. The location can be a plus or minus depending on what you are doing. It's super close to a huge shopping center with lots of restaurant choices, definitely a plus. The service was great. They even opened the bar early for the family as we gathered in the open space of the breakfast/bar area after the funeral. The breakfast had plenty of options. The first morning was good, but the second morning someone forgot to turn on the hot plates and the "hot" food was cold. Good thing they had a microwave. Overall, I'd recommend it.
