It's probably one of the nicest places to stay in that part of town, but it's showing its age. The room was clean (mostly - the walls were a little grimy in the bathroom, and all the common areas look and smell old), everything worked, the bed was comfortable, and service was good. There's no breakfast included in the price, but there are plenty of local dining options nearby. If you're visiting downtown Mesa, AZ, it's a good option.
This DoubleTree was a major disappointment. The property feels old and poorly maintained, with a noticeable musty odor throughout the hallways and rooms. The carpets were visibly dirty, and the overall atmosphere felt dingy. Given Hilton’s reputation, I expected a much higher standard. We had planned to stay for two nights but checked out after just one. The hotel is clearly overdue for a full renovation, and unfortunately, our experience fell well below expectations.

While the hotel itself is decent and the rooms are nice, our experience with the group/sales team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Mesa was incredibly frustrating and disorganized.
Multiple promises made to us were never fulfilled. We were incorrectly charged for a room that was part of our group booking but not authorized on my card, and fixing billing errors required repeated calls and emails. The billing system was blamed repeatedly—at one point we were told a comped room couldn’t be applied to two different people because it was “too difficult,” even though that was not true. The salesperson we worked with (Marge) simply said it couldn’t be done rather than resolving it.
Communication was a major issue. For two weeks, we tried calling and left messages and we still have not heard back from management. Even in the week leading up to our booking, we had to chase the hotel multiple times just to correct errors and sort out room arrangements that they had messed up (Jan & Marge).
The worst part was that they completely screwed up our wedding rehearsal lunch accommodations. Because of hotel rules, poor communication and poor planning on their end, we were left scrambling the day of and ended up having to eat outside. Which would’ve been fine had we not PAID FOR a room to host the lunch.
Overall, the property itself is fine, but the people in charge of group bookings and sales and their management are extremely disorganized, unresponsive, and unprofessional. The lack of communication alone made this experience unnecessarily stressful. I will never recommend or use DoubleTree again based on this experience.

8h floor facing the golf course and a freeway was very loud. It felt like window is not in place that’s how loud was to fall asleep.
Rooms are clean but very old and outdated, we stayed there for 5 nights for soccer event.
Hotel seems like it was “somewhat” updated but they didn’t do it all the way. I think it’s overpriced per night for what you get.

We needed a place that could accommodate our daughter's graduation 🥳 party 🎉 as well as reasonably priced yet spacious rooms. I had called several locations (1 never return my call, 2 had called back 3 & 5 days later) while others either wanted far too much for the venue, rooms or both. Amy Ortiz put everyone of them to shame. Not just with pricing, option, but with exceptional customer service, accommodations, and her expertise guided us to the Executive lounge, which was an absolute success. From calling regarding our rooms locations, to getting checked in w/ amazing staff like Steve at the front desk. Rooms were very spacious, quiet, modern, and comfortable. Made our 4 days stay in multiple rooms 1 more thing to enjoy on this trip. Parking was reasonable. Located near major freeways to get you going wherever you need to escape to. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future.
