The hubs booked the Nautical for a 3 day trip to Havasu for meeting up with friends & of course boating. Being in management, I feel this is an honest review of our stay & we left feeling that the staff here truly are making an effort to improve their ratings ;)
I gave 4 stars as a blend of the resort, staff and the room.
The room, I would give 1-2 stars after our experience. The rooms need an obvious renovation. Basic & outdated is what you get. The mattresses need replacing. The furniture is worn and show their age. Our shower sprayed into the room, but maintenance replaced our shower head (after letting them know) & it worked much better afterwards. We collectively (all 4) did not sleep this trip due to the mattresses & being cold due to our "aged" cooler/heaters in the room. We did ask for blankets & more towels (which arrived extremely fast). So we were more comfortable the second night. However, I'm not a big fan of having to let the hotel know things they should already be checking for in between guests.
*We did have an incident with staff entering our room (without knocking) to fix the smoke detector. Needless to say, while unfortunate, this could've ended up a lot worse had our pup been staying with us. When brought to the attention of the Operations manager, Eeron was extremely responsive & apologetic. His service recovery was appreciated. The team cleaned up their mess & all was good. The Nautical should be very appreciative of Eeron, as his customer service (and his teams response) was the one factor that eased our concern.
Keenley from the Turtle restaurant was lovely to connect with & served up some delicious tacos & beverages to my family at the poolside.
Katie at the Coffee shop made the most delicious lattes to enjoy on our morning walks along the beach & she was such a gem!
Now the Resort itself! If I could base this review solely on the resort, I'd give 5 stars. (But the rooms are really the only reason to take a rating down here). The infinity pool has the most gorgeous view, as if running right into the lake. The outside bar was closed due to maybe it being February, but Keenley was happy to walk back & forth from the restaurant :) the view from our room lanai was epic, & I'll include a picture of ours below ;) a Huge perk was being able to launch & park our boat from the Resorts launch & dock (included to guests). Any boaters out there know this is one reason alone to book the Nautical! However, we were a bit side swiped by the "cove charge " on day 2 (that the hotel staff removed after we questioned it, but gave my hubby some explanation of "we'll do it this time"), which I thought was a bit unnecessary, as we did not park our boat in the cove & it also wasn't disclosed when booking & charged 24hours after our arrival. That was the only rude staff member at the front desk & I won't mention her name here, because I'm sure the other front desk staff that was with her knows who it is.
All in all, I'd say this place has a lot of potential with the efforts the staff are putting into the place, but the owners should highly consider updating the rooms & I can't be the only guest suggesting this. The staff are amazing, and the resort amenities & view are Epic. We will consider returning once the rooms get a facelift :)
