- PBPeter BoydDec 16, 20255.0Decent place in Globe, Arizona with a convenient location in town. Don't know if this is the holiday rate or what, but $175 for this room and location seemed somewhat high. These were like so many of the two story, outdoor old style motor hotels of the past. One facet that was nice was there were gates with a passcode for real parking lot. It seemed å lot safer that way. In back there was a separate building with workout equipment. Nicely equipped. There was also an outdoor pool and hot tub, but they seemed to be closed. There was a walk through area between the lobby, the breakfast nook (which was open 24/7 with limited supplies available) and the rear of the building which was a nice feature. The breakfast had some hot selections, which is always appreciated. You had to order the main parts of the meal and were served it on a plate through a serving window. Rooms were pretty standard having everything most do including a safe. Is there gambling or something in the area? Blackout curtains were really nice and darkened the room considerably. The area was somewhat noisy outside and you could definitely hear the footsteps upstairs. One complaint against most of these Best Western hotels are there small and rough towels!!! Can't they get a little better product in this area? All in all, a nice place and location. A little more expensive than we expected, but c'est la vie!

Once we got into our room, I went to the bathroom and the toilet was filthy. There were stains inside the toilet, pubic hair on the seat, and there was a tiny red spider looking bug on the toilet seat. The bathroom sink wouldn't drain as well. It made it hard for us to wash our hands and brush our teeth. There wasn't much parking space near our room either. It might look nice and fancy on the outside, but the inside was horrible. We will never stay here again!
