Admittedly, outside of checking reviews, I didn't look too closely before booking my quick overnight stay at Voco for work. What an absolutely pleasant surprise! Clean room, friendly staff, and just a really cool vibe that I loved! Wyn and McKenzie made the overall experience even more welcoming, which was so appreciated after a long week on the road. The happy hour at the lobby bar, both drink and food, was the cherry on top! This will definitely be my go to stay for future trips.

I recently stayed at the voco Flagstaff and had multiple concerns during my stay.
After checking in, I noticed a $10 charge on my card. When I asked the front desk about it, I was told it was for parking. There were no visible signs on the property indicating a parking fee, and I was not informed of this charge during check-in. When I questioned it, the front desk attendant refused to reverse the charge and was unable to find where it was disclosed online herself. That lack of transparency and accountability was frustrating.
I ultimately had to contact corporate at IHG Hotels & Resorts, who provided 5,000 points and said the matter would be passed along. Only after that did the hotel manager contact me and reverse the fee—which I appreciate—but it should not have required escalation to that level.
Later that evening, after returning to my room, I walked into the bathroom and found it had clearly not been properly cleaned. There were fingernail or toenail clippings scattered around, along with small black curly hairs in the shower. This was extremely off-putting and unacceptable. It was late, and I chose not to change rooms, so I ended up disinfecting and cleaning the bathroom myself.
Between the lack of fee transparency and the condition of the room, this experience fell well below expectations. These are basic standards—clear communication and cleanliness—that should not be missed.
I recently stayed here on an overnight trip to Flagstaff. The rooms and lobby were recently remodeled and super cute. It was a comfortable bed and the hotel was very clean. I enjoyed the hip breakfast atmosphere - the Greek yogurt with strawberries was delicious. The staff including Vraj were friendly and I would stay again on a future trip. The location is handy and the price is reasonable. I did notice some traffic noise in the morning, but if you use earplugs it shouldn’t bother your sleep. Other than that, the hotel was quiet and if you ask for a second floor room facing the mountain, there’s a cool view of Humphrey’s peak. The in room espresso is amazing too.
I didn’t originally add comments as I was in a hurry but have to point out this place is incredible. I feel silly fawning over it so much but I travel regularly for work and this place is an absolute standout.
Everything about it. The rooms are gorgeously decorated, you have a massive TV, it’s incredibly clean, the location has plenty of things to do and the price is surprisingly affordable which is truly appreciated.
The service is also stellar. Doug (superstar!), Anastasia, Vraj, and Dileep (sorry if misspelled!) were all incredibly kind and professional. We accidentally booked a wrong room type third party and they were super understanding and switched it easily. They also let us check out much later than we should have heh. Vraj was awesome in the AM!
I almost feel like I don’t want to share my stellar experience so we can keep the price down and the crowds away haha. But seriously, absolutely AMAZING hotel. 100/10.
The room was very nice and the gentleman at check out the next day was very understanding and as helpful as he could be. The lady the night before at check-in was not. I was not impressed with her at all. There is a glitch between Booking.com site and reservation software used by VOCO by IHG. During the booking, Booking.com repeatedly send a message there was a 'Technical Error' in the booking. As it turned out, I found at check-in the glitch had created 5 reservations at different prices. When I asked the front desk clerk to cancel 4 of the reservations. She was extremely pleased to tell me that cancelling the 4 glitch prepared reservations was not possible. That I would have to pay for all 4 of the errors I did not cause. It's now been over a week since this occurred, still without a satisfactory resolution. I'm in the wrong because the software glitch between Booking.com and VOCO is some how not repairable and my money the 2 companies took from me cannot be refunded. I have traveled around the world and enjoyed a number of very pleasant hotels. I have never been treated this badly. Not poorly treated, badly treated. Note I never yelled or raised my voice to anyone at the facility. BTW, they Do Not accept pets. But it's not on their website or reservation software. Hence, when you arrive, you're trapped. A no pet policy that's not on Booking.com coupled with no notice of multiple bookings is unacceptable. After some discussion, the lady at check in waived the policy. But she couldn't reverse excess reservations from a software glitch. Is she paid a commission? She also said there was no one she could call.
