Everything's been great but agree that parking fee isnt expected given that it's not in city center. Anyway, Vraj, the staff who did our check in was very rude, doesn't smile, and lazy, I must say. Doesn't pick up calls right away and when he finally did after three tries, he asked us to go to lobby to fix wifi connection (????). No, thanks. Also, if he doesnt like his job, and if he doesnt like serving customers, advise him to pls quit.

I sincerely and wholeheartedly recommend staying at this hotel. For the price, it’s way better than any hotel I’ve stayed at in San Diego, Phoenix, or LA. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff here are amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially Molly and Anastasia. Our car broke down a the Grand Canyon, and they were incredibly kind and supportive, helping us through a really stressful situation. We truly felt cared for. If any of my friends ever come to Flagstaff, I would 100% recommend staying here!

Lack of communication from management is super disrespectful and unacceptable. It is NOT my job to chase your manger down to get an answer regarding an inquiry. I get it a Manager doesn’t need to be there every day all the time but seriously have some respect for people and learn how to return phone calls, return messages return emails instead of just ignoring people to the point where we continuously bug your front desk agents, and we hear the same response every single time. I’m sorry I don’t know when they’re going to be in. They kind of pick and choose when they want to come in. It is extremely unprofessional and so disrespectful for a manager to behave that way, but I bet you if it was one of the regular front desk employees they probably would’ve gotten a write up for their lack of communication and not answering guests. Your manager’s behavior this got you a one star rating for everything. Maybe your manager should learn how to manage their time. Better and manage their communication. Just a little bit better.

Edit: no - you claim you inform guests of $10 parking. You have 8 extra tabs to click through during checkout in order to see the charge. It is not listed in the normal checkout flow or fees. It’s a cash grab. 58 rooms, at 90% occupancy = $500/night in parking, X 364 = $182k. This amount is most likely more than 20% of the owners take home pay on this hotel. You aren’t fooling anyone. You’re stealing from people and your ratings are going to show it slowly but surely. Idk how anyone sleeps in these beds. They are the softest and most bouncy beds I’ve ever touched. Walls in this hotel are paper thin. They charge $10 for parking for everyone yet it’s a 3 star hotel. This isn’t a “nice cheap” option. Those would be little America, high country, and even Aiden by best western trumps this place. I would not stay here for free - ever.

This was our third stay here as IHG Diamond Elite members. The staff is exceptional from front desk to the cleaning crew! However this time I really noticed the firm large pillows which place my neck at a very uncomfortable angle. Perhaps offering a choice of both soft and firm pillows like HIE all do. Also switching to the super soft/smooth sheets that HIE uses would be awesome. The sheets here are certainly durable but they are a thick twill fabric which is very rough on sensitive skin (I had to wear pants to bed and place a soft shirt over my pillow it was so bad). The bathtubs are installed backwards (the shower head and water spout are in the opposite side from the drain and are over the slanted bathtub back where one would lay against) so there is no way to lay back and soak in the bathtub. If you do, your head will hit the water spout. So plan on showers only. Great water pressure and temperature. Our room number 112 was almost the last one towards the back end. The building is set into a slight hill so we were partially under ground which meant our windows were small. I really don’t think they qualify as being fully egress windows. I doubt I could exit them in case of a fire but I’m not a small person. The heater made the sounds of sleet hitting it every time it turned on (the fan noise was fine however). Please stop trying to be a European style hotel with only espresso machines. They produce strong coffee that maybe fills 1/3 of the mug and you have to add the hot water to make it a regular coffee…and the machines are super loud. My family didn’t appreciate the noise of Mom making her caffeine drink in the morning! My extended family lives in flagstaff and this hotel is super close to their house and that (and the more affordable rates at times), are the only reasons I’d keep staying there. Bedding really is the worst issue.
