Wonderful Stay at Embassy Suites Flagstaff!
I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Flagstaff right before Christmas, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay feel warm and personal during the holiday season.
I really enjoyed the evening happy hour — such a great touch — and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was amazing. It’s rare to find a hotel breakfast that feels this fresh and generous. The whole stay was comfortable, relaxing, and exactly what I needed.
I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Flagstaff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service, great amenities, and a genuinely pleasant hotel experience.
Do not stay here! Hilton cannot possibly know this location is this run down and dirty and unsafe! Based on the previous Google reviews in which we were mislead by the initial photos from Google and our previous experience with Embassy Suites, this one deserves to have its franchise license pulled for constant non-compliance. There are so many health and safety violations you wonder how the business is still allowed to operate under the Hilton brand? The operators, investors and brand is inviting law suits from all angles and deserves to be pursued at the fullest extent for continued non-compliance from this location. I hope this location loses its franchise agreement with Hilton. Nothing about this place is Hilton. DO NOT STAY HERE!
This is an email I sent to the manager (was given their email by front desk gal). To date we have received zero response. We are currently staying at your Embassy Suites in Flagstaff and reserved two rooms for a two-night stay. Unfortunately, we are checking out after only one night due to a severe mold issue in our room. We own a remodeling company and are very familiar with the risks associated with mold exposure. This room requires immediate attention, as it poses a legitimate health hazard to guests. When we got to breakfast around 8:30am there were no plates, no coffee, no waffles and no milk. There we so many guests complaining of their rooms having mold and having no towels in their rooms. So it was not just our experience.
Additionally, we arrived as a family of five, and the room was stocked with only three bath towels. When we contacted the front desk to request additional towels, we were informed that none were available. As a result, not everyone in our family was able to shower, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
We do want to emphasize that every staff member we encountered was professional, kind, and tried their best to assist us with the limited resources available to them. It is very apparent that the hotel is severely understaffed, creating not only a poor guest experience but also very difficult working conditions for your employees. They deserve support, resources, and a safe, well-maintained environment to work in.
This experience has been extremely disappointing and does not reflect the level of safety, comfort, or service we expected. Given these circumstances, we are requesting a full refund for our stay, along with written confirmation that the mold issue will be properly addressed to prevent other families from facing this situation.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. We look forward to your response.
As a diamond member, I travel all over the southwest for work and stay exclusively at Hilton. This location was bar far one of the most disappointing I have ever stayed. Nothing what one comes to expect from an Embassy. Dirty, run down, bed was not supportive and old. The night before, decided to go to the lobby for some coffee. No coffee out, no hot chocolate, nothing. Just creamer sitting out. Frustrated, I thought maybe I would get in the hot tub. Thing was absolutely filthy, leaves, and didn't even appear to be on. Next morning, went to breakfast at 6 only to be told breakfast isn't until 630 and once again NO COFFEE AVAILABLE! Every Embassy I have ever stayed was 6, so don't know what the delay is here. But at least have the coffee out. RIDICULOUS. On the way back up to room, stopped at the restroom downstairs. No soap, no paper towels. Disgusting. Went back down at 630. No toast, no bacon or sausage. Just eggs, hash browns, and muffins that were all frozen!! The toast finally came out, but no tongs to pick them up so everyone was reaching in to grab. Real sanitary. If you visit Flagstaff, stay at the Hampton Inn. Much cleaner and decent accumulation.
Well Embassy Suites markets itself as an upscale property with breakfast included, but this location falls well short of that promise. The hotel feels tired and overdue for investment. My room showed visible wear: stains on the sofa, a smoke detector that had been blocked, and fixtures coming loose from the walls. These are the kinds of issues housekeeping should flag for maintenance, yet they appear to have gone unnoticed.
Breakfast was particularly disappointing. Embassy Suites is known for its made-to-order omelet station, which was closed during my stay. Food options were extremely limited—scrambled eggs and pancakes that were dense, overcooked, and frankly unappetizing. The waffle station was closed, there was no hot cereal, no fresh fruit, and very little variety overall. It was a breakfast experience I would expect from a budget motel, not a Hilton-branded property.
That said, the bed was comfortable, and with proper upkeep this could be a very nice hotel. Unfortunately, in its current condition, I would recommend looking at one of the other nearby options instead.
Well now I need to find somewhere to go get breakfast.
