During a visit to the Phoenix, Arizona area last month, my friend Tony and I stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Avondale, and from the moment we walked into our suite, I knew this stay was something special. The first impression was immediate and lasting: spacious, cozy, and genuinely welcoming. There’s something rare about a hotel room that feels thoughtfully designed rather than just functional, and this suite absolutely delivered. The layout gave us room to breathe, unpack, and relax without ever feeling cramped or cluttered. Whether you’re staying for a night or settling in for an extended visit, the space feels intentionally built for comfort. One of the biggest highlights was the kitchenette. This wasn’t a token mini-fridge-and-microwave situation—it was a fully useful setup. The suite included a sink, microwave, full refrigerator, and even a dishwasher. That alone makes this place ideal for travelers who like having the option to prepare meals, store leftovers, or simply keep drinks and snacks handy. It added a sense of independence and ease that you don’t always get with hotel stays, especially if you’re on the road for more than a couple of days. Although it was December and we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the pool, it’s worth mentioning because it looked genuinely inviting. Even just passing by, you could tell it was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed—definitely something I’d look forward to using on a warmer visit. It’s nice to know that the option is there, especially in a place like Arizona where pool time can be a major perk most of the year. The staff deserves special recognition. Every interaction we had—from check-in to casual questions—was met with friendliness, professionalism, and genuine knowledge of the area. There was no forced hospitality here; it felt authentic. When staff members actually seem happy to help, it makes a huge difference in how comfortable and welcome you feel during your stay, and this team absolutely nailed that. And then there’s the breakfast. Calling it “free breakfast” almost undersells what’s offered. The spread was outstanding, with a variety that easily accommodates different tastes and dietary needs. There were toast and bagels, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, and sausage, plus vegan options—which is always appreciated and not nearly as common as it should be. Add in coffee, tea, juices, and milk, and you’ve got a breakfast setup that feels generous, not minimal. It’s the kind of morning start that sets a positive tone for the rest of the day, whether you’re heading out for work, sightseeing, or a long drive. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations in every meaningful way. Comfort, space, cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, friendly staff, and an excellent breakfast all came together to create a genuinely enjoyable experience. Home2 Suites by Hilton Avondale is absolutely deserving of five stars, and it’s a place I would gladly stay at again—and confidently recommend to anyone traveling through the Phoenix area. If you’re looking for a hotel that feels less like a stopover and more like a temporary home, this one delivers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beware of them adding charges to your card. I was traveling with pets and confirmed so with both booking agent and at the front desk. I asked booking agent to confirm total with me which was 137.79 USD that was the total charge including taxes. When I arrived at front desk to check in There I was told there was an additional $50 fee for a deposit which was fine, which brought the total up to $187.79. (Again they were also aware at the front desk I had dogs). So i continued and paid the 187.79$ and was handed the room keys and then I went about my day. When I came back down the to lobby about 2 or 3 hours later the front desk employee noticed me and said I’m sorry I forgot to have you sign a paper ( I didn’t read the paper thinking it was just a paper agreeing to my stay that I didn’t sign earlier at check in/pay). Fast forward to check out and me getting home to get a final receipt through email stating the actual total was $219.39. I then called back hotel to ask why there was an additional charge they said there was a $75 pet fee, but mind you I was not disclosed of this fee, not with the booking agent nor with the front desk associate when I went to pay at check-in and were theyre trying to get me at was saying well ma’am you signed that document and I replied with three hours later after your employee clearly made a mistake because again, that was not disclosed with booking agent nor front desk. If there was a $75 pet fee why wasn’t that added when I went to pay at check-in because again that was an employee’s mistake yet the manager said that she couldn’t help me. I proceeded to contact customer care after speaking to that manager that was not of help long story short customer care was able to help me and they hundred percent agreed that was supposed to be disclosed by the booking agent & front desk associate so thank you customer care for taking care of me and acknowledging that it was an employee’s mistake
