It’s a motel… The front desk staff isn’t helpful— specifically the dark skin lady with the red and black hair. She was rude and doesn’t work well under pressure. There are two events happening this weekend at/near the hotel. Check in started at 4 and at 5:30 they were still having issues getting the rooms ready. Our room didn’t have a mini fridge and there wasn’t an ice machine on the floor. The room wasn’t ’upscale’ like the Double Tree name suggests, unfortunately, we could compare it to some motels.
In the photos you’ll see a broken light fixture, dirty bathroom walls, fuzz on the bathroom wall, tape left on the wall from a previous guest and dirty bed skirt.

TLDR: Find another hotel. Rooms are not good.
Front desk people are awesome. Very helpful and patient. Food was decent from the restaurant. The rooms are horrible. No waters, but did get them from wonderful lady up front. Ac is set to 67 and room won’t go above 74. Checked with my temp gun to confirm. Two neighbors in the hall said same issue in their rooms as well. No fridge or microwave. Plenty of room for both. Linen and towels have weird stale smell. Great location but I’m on to the next one. Hilton should be concerned about this. Even as a diamond member, there’s nothing the management will do. Don’t fall for the owner replies to these reviews. They won’t do anything about it and just make a copy paste reply.

My gps took us to the backside of the hotel. You definitely need to keep going and reroute to get to the front side. This hotel is huge, right in the middle of downtown on the water. Staff is very friendly, parking garage is underground. Heads up to traveler we have a tiny uhaul trailer hitched to our car, the lot says no trailers. If you park on the 3rd level you will be fine and dont block others. A uhaul will not work here you are going to have to find other parking .
We ate at the restaurant on site and it was really good. Staff was great helping to accommodate our 3 year old grandson. There isn't a kids menu and the menu is limited when there's events in town.
The rooms are nicely sized and clean. I read some rooms might be dated. Ours was nice, roomy and clean with an unexpected view.
My only regrets booking this hotel is that it was just for a quick one night stay as we are heading home.

I don’t typically write reviews but this stay warrants a short one. Room service is poor - they did not put any towels back in the room, which is fine and could happen, but they also tossed a handful of my toiletries including a travel kit with personal soaps and cleansing items, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Additionally, hot water has not been working for the entire week. When the water does heat up, it only stays hot for a few seconds at a time. The room itself is very average and the lobby and restaurant are decent, but the other aspects of the stay were very disappointing. I travel very frequently and have stayed at Hilton multiple times before, but this has genuinely been the worst experience that I have had in any hotel in the past 20 years.

If it were not for the staff, I would have tried to find another room. We visited about a week ago and most things were shut down due to weather. However, the hotel was not sufficiently heated or prepared. We had friends at other hotels that didn’t have these issues.
The lobby, dining area, bathrooms and common areas were freezing. They attempted to use space heaters to no avail. The kitchen was so cold we never got hot bacon. Greased over.
I opted for space with the suite. Don’t waste your money. The shower never got above lukewarm, then it would stop and go. I mean completely turn off, then sputter and come back at a colder temperature. I tried to catch the low,low pressure and spurts in the video (notice no steam and all the way to hot). With soap everywhere had no choice but to wait for spurts to rinse off. The sink only trickled water (it did get hot) so we had to move our toothbrushes and washcloths around to catch the water.
The 2 stars are for the staff. They were pleasant and tried to help. Although I did hear about 3-4 different versions of boiler, weather, water issues. Hotel is outdated and no signs of any upgrades. Shout out to Kye (bartender), Quita, Melissa and a few others that tried to assist.
Giving Hilton the sideeye for this one and looking at my Bonvoy status for future travels. Will not stay here again or recommend this hotel, especially for the charges we incurred. Other hotels in the area had same price, better quality.
