Stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hot Springs this past week for a business trip, and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, equipped with all necessary amenities, and the view from my room was breathtaking. The service by the entire staff was outstanding. Everyone I spoke to was extremely friendly, helpful, and willing to answer any questions I had. Thank you for making this business trip a success and hope to be a future customer. I also want to give a shoutout to Ariel, Brenda, and Marie for their hospitality and going above and beyond this past week. Five Stars and will recommend to all.

Last year 2024 we stayed 2 nights and the year before as well staff was great coffee was free and the 2 bottles of water was complimentary this year that was not the case if you don’t read tag on the bottle of water it’s free for silver & gold members only which is so ridiculous, why have the bottles in the room if they are not free to everyone? Plus went down the first morning and found out you had to pay for coffee a well. So I called after we got back home about the $3.00 extra charge and the person that answered the phone told me I should have read the sign on the water bottle. Stayed there 3 years in a row but never again after this.

This DoubleTree has great facilities. It’s very quiet. We barely heard any noise when staying in our room. And has nice lake views. The room was well updated with USB ports in many places.
But it has serious customer service and housekeeping issues. After the 2nd day of our stay, we found that they didn’t clean floors (carpet and bathroom). And housekeeping didn’t properly refill supplies including towels. They never did replenishing bottled waters in room. They totally ignore bedsheets too.
We informed the front desk in the morning. The staff said that she will pass it on to housekeeping. When we returned in the pm, no improvement at all. Still dirty floors, old bed sheets, missing bottled waters, etc.
We basically gave up our effort trying.
When checking out after 4 nights, RJ at the front desk asked if our stay was good. So we mentioned these issues. To our big surprise, he told us that they don’t clean floors until after 4 nights unless customer request. And they don’t refill bottled water in rooms. These are things that the front desk should’ve informed us at CHECKING IN!! NOT when checking out!!! And even we asked about the floor and the bed sheets the 2nd day (should’ve been considered a “request”), NOTHING was done.
Other notes for Diamond members to know (we finally figured out after days):
—- The $30/day ($15/pp) credit does not apply to charges at the bar
—- The $30/day credit does not roll over to next day(s) if not fully used
—- The 2 bottles of water in room are only for the 1st night; will not be replenished on subsequent days of stay.
—- The restaurant menus are overpriced and the food quality was lousy. (Don’t forget there is also 12.5% sales tax on top, and tips.) The House Green Salad said having “mixed greens”. But all we got was iceberg lettuce.

The young man at the front desk was unfriendly and not helpful when asked about local restaurants. The room was fine with a nice lake view, but we had to sign up for Hilton Honors OR pay for WiFi; the one coffee in the room tasted terrible but there was no free coffee/breakfast/water in the lobby; and the 2 small bottles of water in the room were $3 each, unless you were a platinum or silver rewards member! We could have stayed in any lesser-quality hotel chain and had free WiFi, free coffee/breakfast; and free in-room water - and all for half the price of the Double Tree.

Hotel was in a good location, on Lake Hamilton. The first night, we had unpacked, went to dinner, come back and watched a movie. I was getting ready to wash my face and the sink didn’t have any hot water. I didn’t want to move rooms, so we stayed there, just had to run the shower every night into the ice bucket to get hot water to wash my face. Hotel had a place to order breakfast, but there wasn’t no one there to take your order. Coffee/water are not free.
