This place is pretty decent. The only issue I had so far is there's an employee that parts his red truck right in front of the walkway every single night. Meaning I now have to walk on the grass or trip over the curb. It's crazy that management but that their employees do this.

My husband booked this quick getaway for my birthday weekend. The staff made me wish I had just stayed home! He requested a room with a view which getting a room without one wouldn’t have been an issue if we had known it wasn’t a guarantee UPON REQUEST! We came back to the room after a night out and our door www left open!! We called to speak to someone and was told there wasn’t a manager on duty! I went charge my phone and was damn near electrocuted! I tried another outlet and my charger started smoking! Again we called downstairs to speak to a manager and once again was told there wasn’t one available! Needless to say we never spoke to a manager and was charged $46 dollars for a sheet that was stained so bad you would think P diddy was staying there! After we filed a complaint I was told that the workers told them we requested a new sheet which is a lie! And please don’t the bottled water!! Which says complimentary! Bc there is actually a $3 charge! I hate I spent my birthday weekend here. I never get a chance to travel and staying here was such a hassle. No apologies for leaving our room room open with all our belongings in the room. Never spoke to a manager!! Later found out they leave on Friday and return on Sunday! THAT CAME FROM WHOEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED FOR THE 5th time. Was transferred to SARAH. NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. Called again and was offered 500 sorry points for my next stat. Which will never happen! It’s not about the $46 for sheet we didn’t mess up or the door being left wide open. Or the $6 for bottled water! ITS THE PRINCIPAL! And LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE! I hope they all experience this same treatment whenever they decide to celebrate any occasion.

Our stay at the DoubleTree Hot Springs was exceptionally nice. It is located a few miles from the National Park and had virtually no traffic issues but still close enough to enjoy the NPS. The rooms and the bathroom were spotless and good sized. The highlight of this hotel though is the staff! Housekeeping kept the room fresh and clean and the front desk staff were more than accommodating. Extremely dog and people friendly. Dottie gave it 2 paws up. I would highly recommend a stay!!

We travel often and when we do we usually stay at a Hilton hotel being an honors member. 99% of our stays have been wonderful, this last occurrence however was the worst customer experience we have had. Upon check in, we noticed a sign saying that a $500 CASH DEPOSIT was required at check in if you lived within 50 miles. Fortunately that did not apply to us but it NOT being on the website seemed odd. Friday night went well, we asked for a King sized room with a balcony to overlook the lake and was given a room right off the elevator on the second floor with a glorious view of the parking lot. We went out to brunch and to the track on Saturday only to return to our room door WIDE OPEN! We immediately called the front desk and they apologized and asked if anything was missing. Luckily nothing was. We were told management was not in and asked us to stop by at check out the next day, which we did, management was unavailable then as well. Now for the irritating part. Our card was held for incidentals, totally understandable. So $80 two days, gets refunded in a day or two, cool. Well we were charged $46 which was confusing because we never used room service and definitely did not damage anything. When I called, I was told our sheets were damaged (lie #1) and we used the two bottles of water that WERE COMPLIMENTARY. I informed them that there’s no way we could have damaged sheets and that the water was free. The lady was very combative and just kept stating that it’s “policy”. $46 is not a lot of money and normally I wouldn’t even fuss about it, but it’s the principle of saying we did something knowing we did not. Then on top of Doubletree not even addressing the leaving our door open for hours from ANY member of management, leaves me with a feeling of disrespect. We will NEVER stay there again. Oaklawn will get our patronage from here on out.
