**Review Update of Staybridge Suites Fayetteville/Univ of Arkansas by IHG Arkansas**
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wanted to provide an update regarding my previous review about my stay on November 12th - 13th. Upon checking out, I encountered a very nice girl at the reception who acknowledged my concerns, even though she couldn't resolve the issues directly. However, the manager came out and took the situation seriously. He called the third party we booked with to process a refund, which I genuinely appreciated.
It's clear that action needed to be taken regarding the never-found leak. However, receiving so many wake-up calls starting at **2:30 AM**, followed by a **3:30 AM** door alarm, and then again at **7:45 AM**, was excessive. (A little power play from the manager, as he didn't agree with me about being woken at **7:30 AM**. Let's compromise: **7:45 AM** is still reasonable when a leak is suspected, but alas, it was never found, even after follow-ups.)
I also managed to capture videos and photos of the potential leak area (which ultimately showed nothing), as well as document each time management visited or called, just in case there were any hotel charges made.
Overall, I will say that the showers are hot, and after traveling across the country for three days, all a human really wants is some rest and a bit of empathy when unexpectedly woken up. A little empathy and consideration go a long way.
The staff ultimately took care of my frustrations and listened as I vented about my experience. I would consider staying here again if necessary. It’s a decent hotel, and I recommend checking third-party websites for better deals.

**Will update as stay continues**
Checked in on the evening of **November 12th**, and my experience was far from pleasant. In **room 326**, there was a strong odor of **bad curry**, leading me to request an immediate room change to **room 332**.
Things took a turn for the worse when, at **2:30 AM**, I received calls from the front desk, followed by a **3:30 AM** visit from the night manager. She claimed there was a leak potentially coming from my room, which led to unnecessary panic and disruption. After a thorough inspection, we found **no leak** at all.
Then, the next morning at **7:30 AM**, I was startled awake by loud banging on my door. Three staff members…a manager, a maintenance guy, and a bellboy…entered unannounced. I had to let one in while I was **naked**, only to discover that there was still **nothing wrong**.
The attitudes of the staff members, particularly the black manager (I will update with their name) and the brown maintenance guy, were unprofessional and lacking in bedside manner. It felt like they didn’t care at all about my experience or the discomfort of waking someone up; all they cared about was a leak (which, by the way, was never found, even in other rooms).
I believe I am entitled to **full compensation** for being woken up **three times** during my stay. For a **4.5-star hotel**, this level of service is unacceptable, and I plan to update this review based on how they respond to my compensation request.
