When we're driving back and forth from Texas, we always find a Hampton Inn. This was our first date at this hampton, we usually stop in poplar bluff but we took a different direction. It was last minute and we were so pleased

I’ve stayed at 4 Hampton Inns in the past week. And 8 in the past 3 months. This was by far one of the worst I’ve stayed at. The two stars is only because The staff was friendly and polite or I would give it one star. We were traveling with 2 very young children and needed to stop for the night and usually with Hampton inn were safe. The lobby was ok, decently clean so I assumed we were good. Well we got into the room and it smelled very musty, not clean at all. The toilet had hair on it, so clearly was not cleaned in between. The shower was yellow (I don’t know if it was just stained or dirty), there was a chewed piece of old gum on the bathroom floor, so again, obviously not cleaned. Then when you go into the room the carpet was stained and dirty. There was change on the floor (penny and dime) and some brown powder substance. The top sheet had visible stains. But again, we were desperate with two sick little kids to stop for the night so we stripped the sheet off, didn’t let our 2 year old touch the ground and just went to bed. For the price, I wouldn’t have ever stayed there under different circumstances. Kinda was more like a motel 6 or super 8 than something with Hiltons name on it. Also was no food really around there.

We had a nice stay at this property. It’s clean and close to everything in the town. The staff was friendly as well. Would visit again when in the area.
