    Lashanda, the Front Desk Manager, at Embassy Suites Tuscaloosa delivered exceptional service and genuinely prevented a major headache for our upcoming trip, which happens to be a milestone family event. I had seen the hotel in person and loved it's bright and cheery modern vibe, so I booked a room for four nights in April for my son’s college graduation. Unfortunately, the third-party booking (Get A Room) who is no longer partnered with Hilton, sent a “confirmation” without the necessary check-in information—no confirmation number, dates, rates, room category, or booking/cancellation details. Lashanda immediately took ownership, stayed upbeat and composed, and worked the problem quickly by contacting the hotel help desk and working with the Get A Room team—while still managing an ongoing influx of guests at checkout. It was something to see. Her professionalism, urgency, and kindness were truly remarkable. Lashanda most certainly displayed a keen talent, but more impressively, she was comforting and quite compassionate. Embassy Suites is lucky to have her! If I had a company in T-Town, honestly, I would try to steal her away. We're excited and have complete peace of mind about our trip now.

    In 2026, It’s ridiculous for hotels to not allow streaming apps on their TVs. Especially when every TV now has smart features. The DIRECTV is spotty and signals out often. It’s frustrating to not be able to use any streaming apps. They don’t even allow for mirroring! The rooms could be cleaner. The light switches were insanely disgusting with grossness just piled up all around them, and the room is pretty dusty. That’s one thing that all hotels seem to forget to dust. I will not be back!

    I was headed to a funeral and my mother-in-law and I booked a room so we would t have to drive as far the following morning. We got VERY late (after midnight). The doors were locked, but it didn’t take long for the guy to let us in. The rooms were clean and we only got about 4 hours of sleep, if that before we had to hit the road. Being exhausted and emotional, I got dressed that morning and I took off my jewelry (Rolex watch, wedding band, and wedding ring) to put on lotion. I accidentally left them sitting on either the bathroom counter or the bed. We checked out. Maybe 45 min later, I called and told the person at the front desk. She told me she’d tell the person over housekeeping. After the funeral, I retuned and they said they didn’t see any jewelry. I KNOW my things were there. I called several times to speak with the Good morning, who wasn’t available, so I called the Diamond desk (we are diamond members) and told them what happened and they gave me a case number. I finally received a call back from the hotel and it was a manager, who told me the GM wanted her to handle it. That felt dismissive as well since I called him several times. I finally spoke with him and he seemed understanding and reasonable and told me he’d look into it. Of course, my jewelry wasn’t found. Am I shocked? Absolutely not!!! I’m hurt, sad, and hoped people would have more integrity, BUT again, I’m NOT surprised. It’s disappointing and disheartening. I’ll NEVER stay here again. If you stay here, PLEASE check and check again to make sure you didn’t accidentally leave anything, especially of value!! There wasn’t a button to respond to the response left to me, below, so I want to clarify. My jewelry that was mysteriously not in the room wasn’t a “perspective”, neither was it “lost”. I don’t care about how many previous reviews of someone else’s experience. That was NOT my experience. Someone has some very nice jewelry and I hope they’re happy! Again, for future guests: PLEASE make sure you double check the room prior to leaving. God forbid you’re emotional because you’re headed to a funeral and aren’t thinking clearly. The “investigation” won’t lead to anything because there’s no way to prove someone took anything in the room. Prayerfully, you’ll have an upstanding, honest person, if it does happen, which I hope it doesn’t. I don’t wish this feeling on anyone and neither do I wish for someone to be dismissive from your “perspective” of your “lost” jewelry.

    I have stayed at the Embassy 4 times since it has been remodeled and its very spacious and clean. I briefly encountered an issue with my room this occassion and Madelyn promptly fixed the situation and put me in another room. She offered swift and courteous service by bring a luggage cart to assist in the transition between rooms. Madelyn provided the type of customer service you hope for everytime you encounter an issue. No hassle, just solutions. As a diamond member I often see varying degrees of customer service but she provided top customer care.
