This is the worst Home 2 Suites i've stayed in. After 10 hours of being on the road, I was looking forward to sleep. But the noise from people walking upstairs and in the hall was not what I have experienced at other Home 2 Suites. Its a shame, not what I expected from a new hotel.

I was in Troy, AL, for the first time for a business trip, and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. This hotel is new, and the room is modern and clean. Breakfast is decent, I’d say. The location is good. Near the hotel (walking distance), there are Publix supermarket and a couple of restaurants including Baumhauser’s. Troy University is like 5-10 minutes driving. Since it’s a new hotel, it seems to me that they’re still smoothing out the operations. Sometimes there’s nobody on the front desk, coffee not refilled in time, etc. My colleague’s room door wouldn’t lock so he needed to move to another room. But overall it’s a good hotel and I’ll stay there again if I go to Troy.

The room was nice, seemed new. The night manager who took our reservations was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast... inedible!! Waffle batter dispenser broken. Grits were an uncooked mass of rock. The eggs were leathery. The slices of cheese appeared to be above 40°, were off colored, and lacked a visible thermometer. The area was neglected, toasted not toasting, the bagels were very hard. And one of the cream cheese tubs were bad. Sour smell and taste. Several seating and tables were very obviously dirty. But the 3 young ladies upfront were engaged in an amusing conversation. I've stayed here before and the was the worst trip. It's not the facility, it's the lack of professionalism in the employees.

This location appears to be fairly new. Upon walking in everything was spotless and visually pleasing with a fresh scent. The front desk attendant on shift was polite and helpful. I got room 422 on the 4th floor. Upon entering the room the room was spotless. Everything was clean and the room had a like new odor. All of the lights in the room worked(which is not a common finding). Good view out the front of the hotel. The Hilton TV system seems to be improving as there is more than just access to Netflix. All of the dishes, utensils, and silverware were properly stocked in the room. The fridge was very spacious and clean as well. Where they fell short was the included breakfast. The toaster was barely functioning, ran a bagel 4 times and it wasn't even light brown. The waffle mix was empty. Several items in the warmer were empty. Cups for juice were almost no where to be found. Plates were almost all gone and same for bowls. With the price you pay to stay at a Hilton Home2Suites i expect they would do better, especially carrying the hilton name. I had to knock a star off for that. Great experience here except for the breakfast. Definitely recommend this location. A-
