The first room we were given the tv wouldn’t work - I went to front desk & to let them know - maintenance came and told us he would be back in 10 minutes with another tv after 30 minutes I went to front desk again to ask for another room work was being done on condo next door - a generator ran all night outside our balcony There is no view of ocean or beach at this location unless you have a beachfront room The breakfast area is a tiny room & heat was on full blast- there is no coffee maker in room so you wait in line for a cup of coffee in the mornings -Never stayed at a IHG hotel that didn't have a coffee make in room I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

When we arrived, customer service was top notch. Bonnie at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. The lobby was decorated for Halloween, which the kids loved! We originally booked a king room with a sofa bed on the first floor. Our kids think sofa beds are the coolest thing ever, so we went to get it all set up before heading out to dinner… only to find the bed frame was totally tilted on one side and clearly broken. The room itself also gave off weird vibes. It was right by the elevator, and the patio door led out to an unfenced area facing an empty lot. Not unsafe, just felt a bit exposed. Normally, we never ask to change rooms, but since we were there for three nights, we figured it would be worth asking. Bonnie was amazing and moved us to the 4th floor with two queen beds. No sofa bed, but the kids got over it quickly. The difference upstairs was huge: cleaner, brighter, better energy, and we felt so much more comfortable. We even saw that they closed off the original room for maintenance right away, which we definitely appreciated. The rest of our stay was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious every morning with lots of options. The views were incredible, beach access was super easy, and the hotel is close to everything. My kids were probably the only ones in the pool night and day and swimming in the ocean, and everyone, from staff to fellow guests, was so friendly. We ended up chatting with several snowbirds who come back year after year, which says a lot! All in all, despite the small hiccup at the beginning, we had an amazing time. Bonnie really helped turn things around and made us feel taken care of. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we come to Orange Beach!
