  We hopped down to Orange Beach for a long weekend because we couldn’t pass up the deal on flights, and this Holiday Inn Express was also priced perfectly. When we arrived, customer service was top notch. Bonnie at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. The lobby was decorated for Halloween, which the kids loved! We originally booked a king room with a sofa bed on the first floor. Our kids think sofa beds are the coolest thing ever, so we went to get it all set up before heading out to dinner… only to find the bed frame was totally tilted on one side and clearly broken. The room itself also gave off weird vibes. It was right by the elevator, and the patio door led out to an unfenced area facing an empty lot. Not unsafe, just felt a bit exposed. Normally, we never ask to change rooms, but since we were there for three nights, we figured it would be worth asking. Bonnie was amazing and moved us to the 4th floor with two queen beds. No sofa bed, but the kids got over it quickly. The difference upstairs was huge: cleaner, brighter, better energy, and we felt so much more comfortable. We even saw that they closed off the original room for maintenance right away, which we definitely appreciated. The rest of our stay was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious every morning with lots of options. The views were incredible, beach access was super easy, and the hotel is close to everything. My kids were probably the only ones in the pool night and day and swimming in the ocean, and everyone, from staff to fellow guests, was so friendly. We ended up chatting with several snowbirds who come back year after year, which says a lot! All in all, despite the small hiccup at the beginning, we had an amazing time. Bonnie really helped turn things around and made us feel taken care of. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we come to Orange Beach!

  The Hotel was lovely! Very clean & it was close to everything shopping & food wise. A big thank you to Miss Holly & Mr Eddie! Both of them have the best personalities,always kind,cheerful & smiles that can light up a room! Thanks so much for making our stay wonderful!

  Nice beach view. Bathroom has some mold on tub but my wife used a cleaner around the tub. Upgraded with newer furniture like desk and wardrobe cabinet. Boucney door bottom track was filled with rust and sand which made it hard to open. A/C was quite.

  From the moment we arrived things were not great. To summarize: room was not ready, when we finally got the room not cleaned, customer service sucked, food was ok, kitchen staff was one of the only saving grace for this hotel. We got there 3:15, checking was at four. The person at the front, Sarah, her customer service needs work. She said the room was not ready that we would get a call when the room was ready, she never called. She also didn't let us leave our things for hold since we were only 45 minutes from check in. We arrived back at 5 and asked if the room was ready, she said yes and ignored me when I told her we never got a call about it being ready. We got to our room and immediately noticed hairs in and on the bedding along with what looked like makeup stains. This was brought up to the staff, they sent someone to change the linens which we tipped for his time. Then we go to shower and notice hairs on the shower walls and tub. Hairs long and short, short as in not from the head. I brought this up but it was never addressed. Felt extremely gross staying here. With the condition of the room I was nervous about breakfast here however the staff for the kitchen was great. The food was ok, what we expect from a hotel breakfast but the kitchen staff was great. Location was good, access to the beach was why we chose to stay here but as we came to realize there are plenty of other options around here for that.
