The staff was super nice. The water pressure was absolutely horrible. The elevators smelt like weed 9/10 times. The room was clean and beach view was amazing

Man I’m really not even sure where to start. It’s taken me a while to write this review we stayed at this hotel late August of this year. I can only hope some things have been resolved. Now that I have a minute I feel strongly enough to write this review so far down the road. The hot water didn’t work for two days and I’m pregnant (4 months at the time we were there) , so that was horrible. I was sitting in a freezing cold tub shivering. My poor husband was trying to warm me up with towels. I called down to the front desk twice after no one called me back the first time about the hot water. It took over a hour to get a maintenance guy up to our room just for him to say “guess everyone is using the water at the same time”. After the front desk refused to move us to a different room because “everyone on the floor was having the same problem”. I took it upon myself to ask some really nice folks in the elevator that were staying on our floor and they said they had hot water.
The staff couldn’t care less and acted like I was a major inconvenience. The lady at the front desk was even making snarky comments when I was speaking with the manager. Though I could have stayed in a 2 star hotel with hot water and I’m sure more friendly staff (which I was heavily considering) they had me pay full price for the room, when our room was not functioning properly for the first 2 days. They offered a complimentary breakfast which the hotel staff argued they could not find when we went down for breakfast…. Again just horrible. I really feel as if we should have been compensated for this mess. There were MANY other customers complaining on the daily about something wrong with their rooms and again the staff was horrible about it. One guys AC would not turn off and he ended up leaving because of the terrible conditions. Very disappointing to be treated like such dogs when we were paying for such high quality. I felt so bad because I had booked this “babymoon” for my husband and I. We were both so stressed the entire time and it left such a bad taste in our mouths. We don’t usually take trips like this which made the occasion extra special and extra sad that it was so lack luster.
The hotel was clean and the bar tenders were nice but other than that I really just hope they don’t treat others like this.

We stayed in November and there was hardly anyone there! The place was so nice and quiet. The private beach is beautiful and only a short distance from the hotel. Loved the heated pool and hot tub too!

Our first trip to Orange Beach was perfect thanks to The Tides Hotel. Despite rainy weather upon arrival, the kind staff kept us updated and entertained with indoor activities while staying cozy.
The breakfast buffet was the best with so many different options—especially the chef-made crepes and omelets. My boyfriend and I had seconds every morning!
You can walk directly to the beach from the pool and hot tub area. Clean, welcoming, and relaxing. Very comfortable beds as well, we slept amazing!
We’ll definitely return and highly recommend to anyone looking to travel to Orange Beach!

Very nice hotel with a stunning view from the lobby. The lobby is elevated I forget it was on the 3rd or 4th floor and we're looking the beach and ocean. However, unfortunately, they decided to use the Best Western perfume throughout the lobby which is a high level of chemicals and do not agree with many people including myself. Upon entering it gave me a severe headache which has been happening to me almost my entire life anytime there are harmful chemicals in the air. There are many studies out there on harmful chemical saturated air fresheners which you may wish to look into. I think corporate should do away with this terrible product for the health of the occupants. Especially the workers who are there everyday.
