Will NEVER stay here again. Review is long, but worth reading to save others from a horrible experience. I can’t stress enough the most enjoyable part of my stay was the group of ladies in housekeeping I had privilege to meet who were kind & helpful.
*I entered my room, & attempted to use the bathroom but toilet when flushed, started backing up, filling toilet full of nasty, foul sewer back up, which made the whole room smell awful & I had to be moved to another room.
*1st Floor constantly reeked of marijuana especially at night, all night long!
*At back entrance, I observed (NON paying customers) hanging out at back door, & parking lot esp during night & early morn. & stand next to door waiting for opportunity to enter building to use the bathroom, & go to the breakfast area & help themselves of what few breakfast items available & coffee.
*I observed at back entrance, items such as a backpack, a long wooden stick, bowl of food, a pile of used paper products. Again, safety was my concern.
*Back door entrance would never open when key card was swiped. We were constantly waiting for someone to open it from inside, & have to go to front desk for them to “re-key” cards which again would stop working after swiping a couple times. It was consistent & continuous to the point of people putting something in the door to prevent locking in order to re enter & not have to walk back around to front entrance.
*At 3 AM, I walked outside & as I attempted to come back in, again the door would not open when I swiped card.. leaving me having to walk all the way around the building, to front entrance in the DARK which was scary & dangerous in that particular area.
**The “FREE Breakfast” this place advertises was non-existing & consisted of some slices of Bread, a couple of Dried up oranges,
a container with cereal, & a few dried up muffins! I observed numerous people inquiring about breakfast & staff replied “We are expecting a truck anytime”!! A gentlemen who stays & pays by the week stated “They NEVER have breakfast available but always tells customers “we’re expecting a truck” in order to justify not having breakfast items available.
*Due to everything I’ve mentioned, especially non paying customers hanging out in the rear parking lot & entrance, not feeling safe, I decided to checkout & get a room elsewhere, so I removed my belongings from the room & loaded up my car by the 11:00 check out time.. then returned to double check nothing left behind, & was courteous enough to empty trash, wipe the sink, mirror, shower, toilet, then proceeded to wipe the counter, microwave, fridge & bedside table..I noticed it was getting late so I exited through back door to parking lot not thinking I was supposed to check out at front desk in order to get my “Cash” deposit back..as I entered the rear parking lot, I stopped to talk to a few house keeping ladies I had the privilege of meeting & told them goodbye & how much I appreciated their kindness…then as I started driving away I remembered I had a cash deposit I needed to get back so I entered through the front entrance to inform the young lady I was there to get my cash deposit.. the approximate time was 12:30 & she informed me that she was charging me a “Late check out fee $25” out of my deposit. I informed her I wasn’t just now checking out & I had removed my belongings from the room at the correct check out time, then returned to the room to see if I missed anything & ensure everything was left clean.. then stopped on my way out to speak with the housekeeping ladies & to tell them Thank you.. she replied “well it’s almost 1:00 pm & housekeeping is gone for the day, so I have no one to clean that room & I won’t be able to rent it” Housekeeping WAS indeed still there, cleaning rooms. Although I did return to the room to ensure I left it clean, and I did stop to talk with the ladies…I DID have all my belongings out by checkout time, and I honestly feel that she kept my $25 for herself & she definitely lied about housekeeping not being there. They were there!!
