Our staff can direct you to exciting on-Post attractions, such as the U.S. Army Aviation Museum and the Silver Wings Golf Course. The 640-acre Lake Tholocco offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including boating, swimming and hiking. Don't forget to join us every Thursday night for food and fun at our BBQ Social.
There are plenty of off-Post attractions in the Wiregrass area to fill your leisure time. Play a round of golf on Highland Oaks Golf Course, part of the Robert Trent Jones Trail. From the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens to Wiregrass Museum of Art, nearby Dothan has something for everyone. If you have time for a day trip, Panama City, FL is about two hours away.
At the end of a long day, you can retreat to our pet-friendly guest rooms, where you'll find modern amenities like flat screen TVs and free high-speed Internet access. Better than the BEQs/BOQs. (1) Staff is super friendly. (2) Across the street from the small gym. (3) Next door to Mother Ruckers. (4) Morning breakfast is free and flavored better than DFAC (5) New / updated (as of 13 Jun 22), cable provider, better select of TV channels. (6) New (as of 16 Jun 22) liquid DOVE body soap, shampoo and conditioner in bathrooms!

- CPChristopher PJan 19, 20173.0Buildings are old but renovated since Holiday Inn took over the old government lodging. Most rooms look like they're stuck in the 80's-90's. The TVs and beds are new, everything else (furniture, bathrooms, carpet) is fairly worn and older. The staff is excellent and do a great job of keeping the complex clean. All rooms are pretty much the same, so don't expect an upgrade even if you are a spire member. Free breakfast that is descent, and the Wi-Fi is okay (4 stars for wifi); slow or an hour or so at peak times in the evening.
