I struggled whether to give them two or three stars but decided on two based on the housekeeping. We stayed for multiple nights and didn't have housekeeping clean our room, change our towels, refill the coffee & cups or even empty our trash cans. Having a clean room, clean towels and sheets is very important to us when staying in a hotel. The sign in the room stated housekeeping is every other day. Guess that is a guide line not a rule. The room was oddly laid out, a lot of wasted unused space. One round table and one chair in the middle of the room. The TV wasn't secured to the wall bracket, it was basically falling off the bracket. We opted not to even touch it, afraid it might would fall and we'd get charged for breaking it. The mattress wasn't very comfortable. The WIFI in the room didn't work. After several attempts with the front desk, I was told you have to go to the lobby and log in then go back to your room. As crazy as that sounds it was the only way to connect to the WIFI. The 'free' breakfast was okay, what you might except. Nothing extra, very minimal. If we came back to the area would probably stay at the Holiday Inn which is right nextdoor.

As a honors member I use the Digital key on my App.upon arrival my digital key would not work.I went back down to the front desk and asked for my digital key to be activated again.I asked the young lady why my digital key wasn’t working.she replied oh it’s just technology.I then said this is my third stay that it wasn’t activated nor was I notified on my app that my room was ready.she replied oh it’s guess it’s just a Alabama thing.very rude and condescending.so this next trip I will try the other Hampton Inn in Gulf Shores instead.dedicated customers should not be talked to that way.its rude and disrespectful.other than the rudeness the stay was fine.

Convenient location for our needs. Hotel feels new thanks to good maintenance and housekeeping. The included breakfast was exactly as good as every Hampton Inn I've stayed in. For my money, Hampton Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses are the 2 most consistently good hotel chains. If I have a choice between the two, I always choose Hampton Inn because I like waffles better than pancakes 🤣 . We do travel a good bit in retirement, spending 60 - 80 nights a year in hotels, so again, Hampton Inn is our first choice and HIE a close second.

The location of the hotel was great but the walls are paper thin we could hear people talking next door and kids running around and bumping upstairs while I was there it was only 1 working elevator and it was extremely slow and the breakfast was terrible
