This is my first time in an extended stay hotel. It's very nice. Fairly quiet with a single exception (that is increasingly common, I find.) The room is equipped with a full size fridge/freezer. When the compressor kicks in a night it makes a sound like a kid slowly popping bubble wrap. The sound is ignorable during the day but seems louder at night. It is a common sound. There's nothing wrong with the unit. It is the price you pay for the convenience of refrigeration in your room. I mention it only to suggest that ear plugs are becoming more and more a travel essential for me, and I keep forgetting them. Don't you forget!
And, for the record, hotel room designers, stop building light blocking draperies for the windows with center split panels unless you are going to allow enough overlap between the panels to actually block out the light from the security lights in the parking lot. If your rods are sliders and don't have overlaps, for goodness sake, just use a single panel that overlaps the window opening at each side by four inches. I haven't designed and sold custom window treatments in 35 years but even I can recognize this simple fix.
You'll like Candlewood Suites, I think, if you are going to stay in place for a few days. It's clean, comfortable, quiet, and clean convenient. And you can do your own laundry for free (just bring your own Tide -can I say that in Auburn?-).

Please stay somewhere else, for your own sake. While the staff were great and did all they could to help, our problems were out of their hands.
We had 3 rooms in the 3 nights we spent there. The first room had little German cockroaches that scattered when we turned on the lights. The second room had a very energetic big dog in the room above us that romped back and forth off and on all night waking us up frequently. The third had a toilet that needed coaxing (by removing the tank lid) to get it to flush and the shower got us like-warm water at best.
It’s a disaster and needs to be shut down and fixed. Oh, and put big dogs on the ground floor.
