From the gorgeous location, to the quaint room setup, and the delicious daily breakfasts, this was a truly comfortable experience. Some of the staff (namely the women who were working) were especially helpful in making sure both me and my father had enjoyable stays. Several of the staff members were simply indifferent toward guests though. Additionally, we visited Juneau during a slight heat wave and our rooms were uncomfortably hot at night. The thermostats did nothing to help cool them down. I understand many parts of Alaska don’t offer AC due to the climate there, but I was hoping there would be blackout curtains available to help with the summertime light and heat. My favorite part about Grandmas Feather Bed though was the daily complimentary shuttles they offer to the airport (24/7) and to downtown (9 am drop offs and 7:15 pickups, when scheduled ahead), given that the B&B location is about a 15 minute drive from downtown and there is very limited rideshare availability in Juneau. Keep in mind that as of June 2022, the dining area is still not open due to COVID precautions, so all meals do need to be scheduled ahead of time and will be delivered to your room.
