  Excellent Stay with Outstanding Staff and Beautiful Views I stayed at the Best Western in Homer while traveling for work and had an excellent experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. One small touch I really appreciated was the quick coffee available at the reception — perfect for early mornings before heading out. The rooms are large, very clean, and come in a variety of layouts, which makes the stay comfortable whether you’re traveling alone or with colleagues. The complimentary breakfast was great, and the view over the bay toward the glaciers while eating is simply stunning. Another highlight is the Otter Room bar, which is conveniently located right at the hotel. It offers great food and drinks, and you can play pull tabs while chatting with locals or the very friendly bartenders. It creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that really reflects Homer’s community spirit. The location is also fantastic — you can walk to the beach in about five minutes, making it easy to enjoy the scenery after a long day. One moment that really showed the quality of the service happened when my rental car needed a jump start. The Best Western staff immediately stepped in to help, and within 15 minutes I was back on the road. That kind of support makes a big difference when traveling. A big thank you to the entire team for such a welcoming and helpful stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when I return to Homer.

  Enjoyed my stay here. Everyone was was very helpful and friendly. The two ladies that do the breakfast in the morning did an amazing job. Was just all around a good experience.

  Just got done visiting Homer and had a wonderful stay at this location (December 2025) This is the only hotel in Homer with a fitness gym (was a big plus of me) and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We didn’t end up eating at their restaurant- but the bar looked cool and they did have free popcorn that I absolutely took advantage of! The breakfast wasn’t the greatest- but the view of the sunrise from the breakfast room was awesome. Would absolutely stay here again.

  Great place to stay with friendly staff and a complementary breakfast. That is absolutely amazing. The housekeepers are friendly and do a great job cleaning the rooms we choose to stay at the best western every time in Homer.

  Overall, this BW hotel is very clean and maintained fairly well. Im giving it 4 stars because the seal on the door was just hanging there and almost detached. The breakfast area is large and has the standard hotel breakfast fare. No issues there. You can buy water at the front desk, which I greatly appreciated. And there is a restaurant/sports bar in the hotel. Its called the Otter room, and the food was a 3/10 for me. Many locals eat there, so it might have just been what I ordered.
