  3-Star Review: Solid for Extended Stays, But Nothing Special I stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Fairbanks, Alaska for a couple of weeks and overall it served its purpose as a functional extended-stay hotel. The room was clean upon arrival, which is always a big plus, and it stayed that way throughout my visit. I appreciated the free laundry facilities—very convenient for longer stays and saved me a lot of hassle and money. The gym was also clean, though it gets quite crowded in the evenings with limited equipment, so I had to adjust my workout times. Service-wise, the front desk staff was often missing when I walked by, which was a bit frustrating if you needed immediate help. However, they do provide a phone number to call for emergencies or issues, and staff responded within about 20 minutes, which helped resolve things. For guests staying a couple of weeks or more, note that rooms are only serviced once a week. That’s fine if you’re comfortable with that, but something to be aware of. There is no free breakfast, which is a downside compared to many other hotels. On the positive side, my room had a decent kitchenette with a full-size fridge and a hot plate, making it easy to prepare simple meals and snacks, which helped offset the lack of included breakfast. Overall, it’s a reliable, no-frills option if you need a clean place with kitchen facilities for an extended stay in Fairbanks. It won’t wow you, but it gets the job done. I’d stay again if the price is right, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to choose it over other options.

  Can’t recommend for workers… or really anyone for that matter. The staff put me next to a family (maybe like four or five people including kids) that were loud way past reasonable quiet hours. Called the front desk the first night and asked if they could move me; they wouldn’t. Happened again the next night. When someone is up on the feet for 12+ hours a day, exhaustion doesn’t even begin to describe the feeling when being abruptly woken up. It’s one of the worst things. This situation was completely avoidable and unnecessary, and I do not appreciate the carelessness. Will not stay again.

  Tires the manager was rude uncooperative and charged me even though I canceled and didn’t stay there refused and said she was the final decision

  This was a very nice hotel. It is well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and in good condition.

  Loved that : 1. It’s Clean! 2. Free and quite good coffee in the main area 3 staff is friendly and helpful 4. They check your id for packages! 5. The kitchenette has a full refrigerator and full microwave 6. Costco and Walmart are nearby 7. You can plug in your car to prevent freezing 8. Water is HOT 9. Cold tap water tastes good 10. Beds have a selection of pillows from soft to firmer ones. And lots of pillows available 11. Shower actually has enough flow to wash my hair 12. Full bottles of shampoo conditioner lotion hand soap and body wash!!! And it’s the nice dove brand! 13. Free laundry 14. Not over priced little necessities in the mini store! 15. Airport shuttle 10/10 I would stay here again
