  Pros: location is close to the lake; room was clean and bed was comfortable, large smart TV and there is a microwave oven in the rooms. Cons (based on my preference): Coffee and hot water are available in the lobby but they aren't very hot. Coffee feels dilute. Hot water in the bathroom isn't really hot enough to us. FYI in case if you are curious: There is no coffee machine in the room. Breakfast area had two apples there as fruits. There is a waffle station and they give you syrup to go with it. Tea bags provided are the unwrapped ones. Not sure if the above is a weekday/winter/low season thing or if it's their standard amenities.

  The pool and hot tub are down for maintenance meaning they are cutting costs here. What’s the point of a hotel with 3 kids if the pool doesn’t work. That’s the whole reason we stay at hotels that advertise pools. Also you cannot check in until 4pm or you have to pay extra. Then there is a huge line at 4pm that took 40 mins to get through. None of the rooms have coffee makers. Another cost cutting measure. The staff just don’t care about any of these issues. Why would they, their management clearly doesn’t. They should deeply discount their rooms in the off season if they can’t even afford to operate the pool. The view and location are great if you get the right room. So if you come for that with no other expectations you’ll enjoy. I care way too much about my money and experience to ever spend it here again.

  I stayed here recently and was extremely disappointed, especially for the price I paid. I checked in around 1 AM and was still charged full price, which I understood at the time — but then I was charged a $30 late checkout fee plus GST and an additional $8.96 walk-in fee, despite checking out at noon. The extra charges felt excessive and unnecessary. For the amount being charged, I expected a much more updated and well-maintained property. The hotel feels very dated and not reflective of the rates being asked. The value simply wasn’t there. I did reach out to management directly to express my concerns before posting this review. Unfortunately, my concerns seemed to be brushed off, and the response came across as dismissive rather than helpful. There was no meaningful attempt to resolve the situation, which was very disappointing. Overall, between the condition of the hotel, the added fees, and the lack of customer care afterward, this stay did not feel worth the cost. I would strongly encourage management to consider renovations or adjust pricing to better reflect the current condition of the property. Competitive pricing and improved customer service would go a long way in preventing future guests from feeling the same frustration.

  I had an incredible experience here! I booked out the entire hotel for a work event, and the hotel delivered an experience above and beyond. Extra-early check-in, a plethora of food restrictions accommodated, wonderful staff, clean and professional rooms and conference centre, and the cafe were all amazing qualities that myself and my group were provided. I look forward to enjoying more experiences here for both work and leisure in the future.
