- EEEmmaDec 23, 20251.0honestly, so gross. checked in and immediately noticed strange stains on both the duvet and sheets. very obvious the bedding had not been washed or changed. travel companion developed a rash on her back after laying on the bed. went to the front and was offered a new duvet - ended up switching rooms. the new room smelled slightly better than the previous but also had stains on the bedding; but atleast looked like they washed it. slept over the covers as we couldn’t trust it had actually been washed. would have left and gone somewhere else if it hadn’t been the middle of the night. i was offered points as compensation that i wont be using as you couldn’t pay me to stay at another holiday inn again after this experience. the carpets were also either vacuumed very poorly or skipped all together. i have seen some very positive reviews about the cleanliness of the rooms ; however, we did stay on the main floor ( pet friendly floor) as we had our dog with us, so maybe this is an experience others staying on that floor could relate to more than the upstairs guests. i will say the front desk staff was very friendly; however, their cleaning crew is not up to par whatsoever.

I like staying there as it’s on my way out to go home and it is close to my dealership, so it’s very convenient. The rates are pretty good compared to other Holiday Inns in Edmonton. Would definitely recommend.
