    I recently hosted a family and friends Christmas Eve potluck dinner, and I was very impressed with the communication that I had with Allen, the Group Sales Manager. She was so helpful throughout the entire process, and I will 100% be planning the next potluck dinner at the Holiday Inn! Thank you Allen for everything 😊

    Rooms are old and defiantly showing age, renovations wouldn’t be a bad idea, very friendly staff experience. Location is great for any kind of event around the college or the arena.

    Earlier today, I personally called to verify the public swimming hours and was told that public swim was running from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. My family and I arrived shortly after 6:00 PM and were informed at the front desk that the pool was already at full capacity, with approximately 142 people inside, and that the estimated wait time was around two hours. We accepted this and chose to wait. While we were waiting, another family arrived several minutes after us and asked about swimming. They were initially told there was a two-hour wait as well. I then observed them speaking further with the staff member at the front desk. Although I could not hear the conversation, I noticed the staff member gesture toward our group. I pointed this out to my husband and brother, and shortly afterward, that family was issued green wristbands and allowed into the pool despite us being told capacity had already been reached. After discussing this with my husband and brother, my brother approached the front desk to politely ask why that family had been allowed in when we had just been told there was no availability. During this interaction, the staff member reacted in a way that appeared unprofessional, including using inappropriate language when it was pointed out that we had been denied entry moments earlier. The staff member then stepped away and returned stating that they could now allow “four purple,” which was confusing and did not provide any clear or reasonable explanation for the earlier decision. This entire interaction left me feeling confused, frustrated, and upset. The handling of the situation lacked consistency, clarity, and professionalism. I have previously worked in customer service within a hotel environment, and I would never consider using inappropriate language in front of guests or responding in a manner that felt dismissive or disrespectful. I have always enjoyed visiting this facility in the past, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. Unfortunately, due to how this situation was handled, I do not feel comfortable returning at this time. I will also be reaching out in the coming days to request a conversation with management to further discuss this matter. I believe this situation was handled very poorly, and I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future guests are treated fairly, respectfully, and consistently.

    Earlier today, my sister called to confirm public swimming hours and was told that public swim was available from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. My sisters family and I arrived shortly after 6:00 PM and were informed upon arrival that public swim was at full capacity around 142 people in already and that the wait time would be approximately two hours. We accepted this and sat down to wait. However, shortly afterward, a different family arrived approximately 8 minutes after us and asked if they could go swimming. They were told it was a two hour wait time, they then spoke with the lady at the desk ( I couldn’t hear the conversation) then my sister points over and they are getting the green wrist bands put on their wrists and went in. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating to witness after we had just been told there was a full-capacity restriction and a lengthy wait. The inconsistency in how the situation was handled felt unfair and unprofessional, and it left my family feeling dismissed and poorly treated. I have always enjoyed coming here and have had positive experiences in the past, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Unfortunately, due to how my family was treated this evening, I no longer feel comfortable returning. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no family should feel disregarded or treated differently under the same circumstances.

    We have had several amazing stays at the Holiday Inn Lethbridge. The pool is definitely a highlight but the staff goes above and beyond to make sure that your stay is wonderful. If you have a young family, there is no better place to stay!
