  Great experience! Staff all lovely. Bed comfy. Good hours on hot tub/pool. Was not over run with kids. Breakfast outstanding!

  We stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. If you’re staying here for a hockey tournament, I do not recommend this hotel. During Covid, blocking off pool times made sense. But continuing this practice now, especially on a weekend when the hotel knowingly booked multiple hockey teams, is unreasonable. The hotel created the crowding issue, and instead of managing it properly, they restricted pool access and forced families to book time slots based on capacity. I understand the concept, but the execution was unacceptable. When you’re paying this much for a room, you expect to use basic amenities without being pushed into whatever scraps of time are left. Being handed a 9 PM pool slot for 10‑year‑olds is not only impractical, it’s absurd. The pool is one of the few ways kids can decompress between games, and limiting access this severely undermines the entire stay. The hotel’s approach caused unnecessary frustration for families who were simply trying to enjoy their weekend. It’s clear the system isn’t designed with guests in mind—it’s designed to make overbooking look organized. And let’s be honest: I’m sure management will post a polished apology under this review, say they “value the feedback,” and claim they’ll “take it into consideration.” Realistically, nothing will change. So please don’t waste your time or energy commenting on this review.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Lacombe Inn & Suites! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The hotel is spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. Our room was spacious, quiet, and well-appointed, with extremely comfortable beds and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking and made the experience even more special. The pool and waterslide were wonderful for our family to enjoy, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh options for everyone. The location is convenient and easy to access, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel feels warm, calm, and professional. It’s clear the team takes pride in creating a great guest experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Lacombe area!

  We booked this hotel months in advance in October. The reservation was confirmed and guaranteed. Then, just two weeks before our stay, the hotel cancelled our booking. Their explanation? Because the booking was made through a third-party website. That excuse is unacceptable. A guaranteed booking is a guaranteed booking, regardless of how it was made. At no point were we warned that our reservation could be cancelled on this basis. Cancelling at such short notice left us scrambling for alternative accommodation at a higher cost and caused significant stress and inconvenience. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and disregard for guests who plan and rely on confirmed reservations. If you value reliability, honesty, and basic customer service, do not book here. We certainly won’t again.
