  Had an overall good experience until our run in with a front desk lady, she was very rude and ruined the stay. We will not be staying at that location again. Abit of insight, was extremely racial with one of the guests and children witnessed her behaviour which was uncomfortable for all. Her response after someone spoke up “don’t stay here” I was surprised and she continued to rant to the other party.

  I have stayed at this location a few times now and I have a great experience every time! The staff are exceptional! I have always had an easy and quick check in. If I have any questions they are always answered promptly. I love that there are 2 options for restaurants. I have a few allergies, this gives me options which i really appreciate.

  The allow the outrageous music that shakes the pictures on the wall rattle past 2:00 am. They do nothing about noisy customers yelling and running in the halls up to 5:00 am. The clerks did not tidy the room during the day. The bar fridge in the room does not work. The view out the window is the h vac system. This is not Holiday Inn usual fair, especially at $300.00 a night.

  I really had a bad experience in this location. First, I booked a reservation and the page explicitly said: we will not charge you, we just need your card to have it on file. I added my debit card and boom, charged. Anyways, it didn’t say anything anything about needing a credit card in any step of the way, but when I got there they wouldn’t let me in if a credit card was not added to the reservation. I understand this is a policy and I’m not complaining about that, I’m complaining about the fact that it was not required or specified during the booking but it was mandatory to stay. I drove from Calgary with 2 kids and they wouldn’t let me check in. Then the proceed to Ask me to cancel the reservation and find another hotel (yes, to start looking for a hotel around the city with 2 young kids at 8pm) BUT if I did cancel, then I would lose the money paid because it was a same day cancellation. My company uses this chain when employees travel, I never had anything to say about IHG hotels, until today. Zero empathy, zero understanding and zero solutions other than “ask a friend to send you their credit card” I was basically thrown away!

  I’m giving this hotel 5 stars mainly because of the excellent service. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional The hotel itself is quite old. The windows and the bathroom show their age, although everything was clean and well maintained. Overall, the outstanding staff truly made the stay pleasant despite the older facilities.
