i stayed here with my boyfriend for a week. the first night of our hotel, we found something on our bed, but i dont even know how to describe it and whether or not it was a bug (photos added), it put me off, but i wanted to enjoy my time with my boyfriend at the hotel since this was his 2nd time visiting canada. the room was great tho, but the heat on the thermostat didnt work well and most nights we were freezing. also, only one elevator was working.
my bf and i wanted to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner so he went down to see what they were serving, tell me why a cheeseburger was 20 dollars!! we ended up ordering food cause the prices were outrageous.
location was good cause its near a bus stop. there’s a lot of places nearby, so that was a bonus.

Staff was excellent, helpful and friendly. We were travelling with dogs, the room was convenient in location to take them outside, theres lots of grass area to walk them. The room itself was a bit disappointing. Some damages are from irresponsible travellers, however could tell the carpets had been heavily cleaned and the room not aired out. It was damp and the smell of carpet cleaner and dampness was a bit overwhelming

Rooms are older for sure bathroom looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2000
#1 elevator wasn’t working which is always terrible
Parking was pretty decent
Location was fine because it was close to what I was doing
Cleaners did a great job of organizing my room
But didn’t do it every night and it wasn’t specified
Absolutely unacceptable. As a Diamond member who has stayed at Holiday Inns across Canada, I’m genuinely shocked by how poor the customer service was here. I’ve never been spoken to with such condescension and attitude. The receptionist was openly rude, made several arrogant remarks, and treated me with completely unprovoked disrespect. I remained calm, polite, and was simply trying to check in, yet I was made to feel unwelcome and like a burden…
After reading other reviews, it’s obvious I’m not the only one who’s had this kind of experience, which makes it even more concerning. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with this brand.
From the phone call prior to booking, we received nothing but professional, friendly, accommodating service. Pretty rare these days especially at this price point. Everyone greeted us, desk, cleaning staff, restaurant. You felt you were important.
We needed late checkout as son’s plane was delayed. No problem. Then we chose to book another night due to flight delays and weather. No problem and gave our adult son breakfast no charge. We have been to a lot of hotels and we were very impressed and let the front desk know on our way out.
