Don’t stay here if you have a nose.
It’s crazy. The rooms. All of them. Smell like the strongest cleaner ever. It’s floral and very unpleasant and the window doesn’t open more than two inches.
It’s like head ache inducing and hard to fall asleep.
It’s so strong!!
The rooms are nice …
But for real I don’t understand how it can be this unpleasant smell wise.
Other IHGs are like this too. Isn’t that crazy.
It doesn’t have to be like this.

On January 12, I called the reservation line to inquire about the availability of an airport shuttle. The agent was not happy that I didn't have a reservation yet and hung up on me. I called to speak to a manager and was hung up on again! Judging from earlier reviews about the condition of the rooms, I would avoid this organization.

Soundproofing was definitely not considered when this building was built.
Staff is nice, rooms are kept clean, but I have not been able to get proper sleep two nights in a row due to noise from adjacent rooms. I will be cutting my stay short.
Also, the button for the shower is hidden, hence people complain of breaking faucet handles in other reviews.

Please save yourself the hassle and frustration and book elsewhere. During check in the two woman at the front desk starting arguing with me about my room
I had booked. They both took my cell phone and went through it to see I had booked the room I was saying. Even after seeing my confirmations….They STILL wouldn’t have it. After arguing for 30 minutes and finally getting checked in(let’s also add they charged me $59 more than my email statement when I booked. These two woman at the front desk were furious!
Now to the real nasty - glass bits in the carpet on the floor? Stains on the bed make you uncomfortable, by chance? Look closely at the photo, the box spring, bed frame and carpet are stained. Was this a throw up? Another good reason to stay elsewhere. This is room 529. Very disturbing.
There are much better options in the area such as the double tree by Hilton or the best western airport inn.

My Husband and I, Stayed at Holiday Inn Calgary for one night. Check-in was smooth and quick, front desk was on point. Room was clean and comfy. Hotel is a bit far from the airport, but the free shuttle totally makes up for it, so no stress there.
Ate at the restaurant Friday night and came back a second time just for drinks. Shoutout to the young brunette server super sweet, always checking on us, really made our dining experience great. Same with the young blonde girl, both were awesome.
Second time at the bar, the brunette server was still great, kept the drinks coming. Answer all the questions that we have for drinks as-well. But there was a male server Christian who honestly seemed checked out — glued to his phone, barely acknowledged us, even sitting next to us at the bar. I asked if he was on break and he said no. Kinda awkward, especially since the girls were clearly hustling and doing a solid job.
Overall, good stay, clean rooms, great shuttle service, and some standout staff. Just wish everyone had the same level of energy.
