  Close to airport but it was okay, except for the room that was given with not a good view, just of the pool that was also not functional

  This is an excellent hotel. I The rooms were spacious, clean and had a fridge, coffee supplies and a microwave. The front desk was very helpful and even boosted my dead car battery for me. The restaurant had very good food. I found the price very reasonable. I would totally stay at. this hotel again.

  We stayed here 1 night before our flight, and 1 night after our flight back home. This place is very good value with their park, stay and fly package. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, the beds were very very very comfy, and the onsite restaurant has great eats! All the staff were friendly and helpful, including their shuttle which got us safely to and from the airport. I will definitely recommend anybody who needs a place to stay and park when flying out of YYC.

  Terrible customer service! Booked a hotel for my sick mom who needed to stay close to the hospital. The hotel site routed me to the wrong location and would not let me cancel. I won’t be using any best western hotels moving forward.

  We chose to stay here because of our exceptional experience at the Best Western executive premier residence property located in Medicine Hat. We already knew all properties are individually owned and operated, but our glaringly different experience made that clear. The Freeport Best Western Premier showed us a total lack of hospitality. The day leading up to check in we arranged and paid for an early check in. 20 minutes prior to the decided upon check in time they called my husband to let us know that despite paying for and confirming this arrangement, that they couldn’t fulfill their end. (I was already in the parking lot waiting for 2 hours) My husband ended up in a heated back and forth just for them to allow me to wait in a different room. During my brief time in the first room, 2 maintenance men walked in while I was half nude. Once relocated several hours later into our actual space we were unpleasantly surprised to find our jacuzzi suite with kitchenette was equipped with next to no expected bare bone essentials. We were given 2 towels. No robes. No bath salts or products. No slippers. The kitchenette was completely empty. ZERO dish rags, dish towels, dish soap. Zero Cutlery, plates, bowls, cups of any kind were non existent. I had to speak to three separate people and beg for a couple forks and plates to eat from. When handed these items I was asked to leave the dining area because I wasn’t allowed to have my meal there and that I needed to eat in my room. (Which was my plan but I didn’t appreciate how rudely I was told- not asked) When getting new keys because mine deactivated the front desk said I needed to keep better track of my cards. We ended up leaving and finding a new hotel for the remainder of our stay in Calgary. As a person who has worked in the hotel and hospitality industry for 10+ years I can tell you that this property is an unwelcoming disappointment. Their business is lucky that they are located in such close proximity to the airport- because they clearly fully depend on transient unaware guests to fill their rooms, rather than setting themselves apart (positively anyway) by providing kindness, amenities or hospitality- you won’t find those things here.
