I arrived much later then expected, front desk had everything ready for me when I arrived, they also reserved a underground parking spot. Arrival was approx 1am

We booked our stay through Expedia and drove a long way to get to Banff, only to be told when we arrived that our room had been cancelled. The front desk said Expedia had called to cancel a reservation for Ryleigh Andersen, but Expedia later confirmed that the cancellation was actually supposed to be for Kylie Anderson, not us. The girl at the front desk was not helpful at all. We had to call Expedia ourselves to sort it out, and Expedia even called the hotel to confirm that the mistake was on the hotel’s end. By the time everything was figured out, our room was already taken, and the staff made no effort to help or apologize. Thankfully, Expedia was great and gave us a refund since the hotel refused to take responsibility. We ended up having to spend more money just to find somewhere else to stay for the night. If you’re visiting Banff, do not stay at the Best Western Plus. They clearly don’t double check confirmation numbers and just go off whatever name they think they hear on the phone. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience.
