Every time I call, it is very easy to get an actual human on the line. When the tech came to my home to install the equipment, he went above and beyond to sort out the issues that arose with the old pedestal in my old building. so far my Internet speed is excellent. so far I am very pleased, and I am relieved to have finally kicked Xfinity to the curb.

I've used Astound (who actually purchased Wave who purchased CascadeLink) as a backup internet provider for years. I made a mistake which resulted in my credit card being declined (my fault) and was charged a $25 fee. What I found irritating was the complexity of their billing plus the whole incident made me realize they had downgraded my internet connection to only 30Mbps... (from 100)... It's obvious they don't care about their former customers so I'm switching back to Comcast for backup service. Meh... It'll cost more but will also be much faster... Avoid at all costs unless you know they're good where you're at.

GARBAGE SERVICE, USELESS SUPPORT, OVERPRICED RATES. I never thought I'd hate someone more than Comcast. I pay for 50 Mbps upload and get barely 9 or 10, as well as constant latency, packetloss, and random outages (brand new modem + router on my end). Any kind of streaming or online gaming varies from "tolerable" to "impossible." I've attached an image of my speed test as proof that I am in fact experiencing up to a half-second of connection delay. Their support was INFURIATINGLY bad. They sent technicians twice, and one of the times they BROKE the neighborhoods connection before leaving, so it was out all day until I called again to tell them what happened. They said they'd send another and did not, and when I asked about that, they started asking me how to fix the problem (as if that's my job). They reset my modem without telling me, while I was using the internet to talk to their tech support, then when I lost connection and couldn't respond they closed the conversation and made me start over. They've scheduled an appointment and then simply not shown up, leaving me to contact them again and try to set up another (and they make me wait another week or more for the next appointment opening). They say they have no way of reviewing past tech support so I had to explain this problem more than a dozen times (and am STILL going through this issue, and having to re-explain the entire thing every single time). They have called me three times at 6 AM just to tell me that an appointment scheduled two weeks in the future was canceled, then to tell me it was back on. I try to be as polite as possible with others, but if I could swear in google reviews I would be doing so right now. I don't think I have ever had such disrespectfully bad service in my life. On top of all that, our price has slowly climbed to over 200% what it started at (it "was" $70 per month, now it's $150 for this absolutely trash tier service and support). God help you if you rely on this company for anything, they are a landfill of incompetence.

Luke was our Tech that came out to help. We’ve been having so many issues with our WiFi/Internet in general that we were ready to leave Astound. Luke came out and changed that. He was so helpful troubleshooting and getting us setup. I haven’t experienced customer service like this in a very long time. Astound needs more Luke’s, he saved yall a customer. Thanks again Luke!

Astound raised my bill with zero explanation — be careful. When I signed up with Astound, my internet was supposed to be around $50/month. I was paying $30 for the bundled service + $20.89, and that was the consistent rate for the first few months. There was NO mention of a temporary deal, no promo period, no “this will increase later.” Nothing. It was presented as the regular price. Then, out of nowhere, my bill jumped by $20+, and now I’m paying around $75/month for the exact same gigabit service. No upgrades. No changes. No notice. No explanation besides, “Yeah, it went up.” That’s misleading — especially because the pricing was the ONLY reason I chose them. I even saw reviews warning about random price hikes and now I’m experiencing the same thing. If you sign up with Astound, please be aware that: ❌ They raise prices with no transparency ❌ They don’t honor the rate they quoted you ❌ Customer service gives scripted responses and no solutions ❌ It feels intentionally misleading I’m now looking into switching providers. I just want people to know the truth before they sign up.
