    Astound’s billing practices are predatory. If you cancel service even a few days into the month, they charge you for the entire billing cycle. No proration. No refund. You pay for service you are not using. What makes this worse is that Astound quietly changed this policy and did not notify customers. Their excuse is that the update was “posted on the website” — buried at the bottom — instead of being communicated by email or on bills. I have a chat transcript where Astound’s own representative admitted they did not inform customers of this change. This is not transparency. It’s a deliberate attempt to slip a material billing change past customers and collect extra money on the way out. If you’re considering Astound, assume they will squeeze every last dollar out of you and hide behind fine print when you call them out. Read everything, take screenshots, and don’t expect fair treatment when you cancel. Avoid if you have other options.

    Please know how helpful Jolyne in the LaConner office was signing me up for Direct TV. Her patience and persistence to get me registered we're exemplary. Dealing with a rather abrasive Direct TV added to an already complicated process, but Jolyne managed to work through it all. She's a real asset to your company given technical skills and people skills.
