  The people at the VA Beach Blvd store are actually nice, but that’s where the good part stops. Cox is a VERY poor quality service provider. I cancelled my service today and will take my business elsewhere. Why is that, you might ask? Firstly, it’s now a Saturday morning as I type this review and there’s been an outage since Tuesday night in my area, and all I evidently get is a 28 dollar credit. The verizon fios customers got back up and running…so why not Cox?! This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with an outage either, but I have tried to be understanding. Next, NOT ONE single customer service representative actually seems to know why the outage was/is still a sustained problem. I cannot believe I got told that and in this day and age. There has got to be a memo someplace or a supervisor to call who knows both exactly what is going on and why it’s happening. It’s 2026 and the internet is not a brand new thing here, folks. The stunt that really got me fired up on this was a “customer service rep” on the phone telling me he can’t cancel my service because of some “tool” that isn’t working and then he had the nerve to tell me it would do me no good to simply go get the cancellation done in person and he tells me I need to wait 2 or 3 hours before calling back. Well, I called that bluff and my service is now cancelled and it got done less than 30 minutes after that needless conversation. I’d recommend for you to avoid doing business with a company so incompetent unless you really have zero internet options to pick from. For better or for worse, technology/internet from “big tech” is outright thrown upon us in so many of life’s aspects nowadays. As such, the standards for interent services simply cannot be so low. Heck, just on decency…if you pay for a respectable service, you get exactly that service. End of story. I don’t really enjoy leaving bad reviews, but this one’s pretty fair.

  Your technicians should have keys to the cox internet/cable boxes they service otherwise you have janky practices 💯

  Dont waste your money. Staying in temporary housing with cox and forgot just how bad it was. Ive had to reset the internet twice a day for 2 weeks straight. Cant wait to be back in my house with Verizon. Haven't touched my router than many times in the 6 years ive been in my home with verizon. So annoying I had to leave a review to save someone
