    Where should I start with the good ole internet monopoly in Roanoke we call cox cable. Well first off the customer service is terrible no shocker to anyone reading this review… If I’m going to deal with this kind of third party quality customer service might as well jump to glo fiber (joining glo fiber after this review). The prices are better and the speeds are better quality as well. As I’m seeing in other comments others have figured this out. These responses that cox cable respond with should be enough to know they really don’t care and they are a sorry excuse of a company. I personally don’t know how they are still making it. Mostly individuals that just aren’t educated on how it all works and I guess that’s what keeps the lights on for them. I guess I should tell my story now that made me want to write this comment…..so internet kept coming and going. We call and they say well your modem is 5 years old that has to be the problem. We go to the store and get it. While my wife is there she is told by the employee that he made some changes and our speeds will be doubled now plus the new modem. Sounds great right? Well once installed and running it was slower than what I had before and still have the interruptions to my service constantly. So we made appointment for a tech to come out. No big deal right? I work from home and my wife was also home. No call was made to either one of us nor did they come to the house yet the servicer claimed to have called and came by so he canceled the appointment. What a joke…it’s not. so we call again on the phone for two hours, talked to several people that could not troubleshoot anything more than what I can do myself and a manager was busy so we couldn’t speak to one. Imagine that. Oh as previously mentioned I work from home so I have a need for internet so the sense of urgency on cox cable is much appreciated let me tell you (sarcasm in case it’s not caught). So a new appointment tomorrow (3-5 on a Friday) well gee thanks I’ll be done with the work week before you fix it thank you again cox cable for all you do. What took the cake though was this part… after this appointment was scheduled he then tried to say it would be 100 dollars for them to come out. Once we said the last person said this was free he magically made this visit free as well.. so your telling me if I didn’t know the visit was supposed to be free you would have charged for that? Seems to me rates and how they conduct business vary a lot person to person. Bad business. Anyways I hope this will help others… I am aware that some people have no other choice but cox cable but if you can find another way to get internet I would highly recommend it. PS: Cox cable if your going to respond to this with automated message don’t bother your not making yourself look any better. Best of luck in your future endeavors. If you lose internet connection I hear glo fiber is pretty reliable.

    You have to sign in at the front door, but an employee helped the last person in line just because she stopped him and asked a question. If there is a line of people waiting, employees shouldn't let someone jump in the middle. There were three employees, but only two were providing service at any given time.

    Sign in and wait forever. There is no sense of time management here, people who only need to exchange internet equipment wait behind others who are shopping phone plans. I watched multiple people walk out because of this, I ended up doing the same. If you have 3 employees, put two on the longer time needs and one to take care of those people who will be in and out in a short time. Don’t put everyone in the same pipeline.

    The fantastic staff at this Cox Store saved my cell phone life!!!! I am so grateful that these folks, unlike Consumer Cellular, were able to correct the problem I was having with my phone and make sure I was able to send and receive texts to i-phone users. I had many frustrating calls with Consumer Cellular ending in my phone issue not being solved. My son referred me to COX and I am so glad he did! Jamilla and Collae at this Cox Store took the time needed to expertly get my cell phone use back on track. Cell phones are so critical to our lives. I was SO happy to find a local store where the staff sincerely wanted to help me and made sure before I left that my phone was in total working order and that I was satisfied. I am so happy that I switched to COX and that I know I can return to this store anytime and get the expert and FRIENDLY help I need in person! Thanks for saving my cell phone life!

    $90/month and for what?! I never have service in my apartment in the middle of Roanoke City. Reset the router, nope! Call Cox, they send someone out, it maybe works for an hour. Someone in my apartment building has even named their wifi Cox is Trash, very fitting! I maybe have it working appropriately 2 days a week if I'm lucky. This is ridiculous. No other internet available in the area. I tried Verizon and Xfinity. I don't think my apartment will let me do GloFiber. My husband calls today and customer service is always nice but someone was supposed to call him back and they haven't. Save your money.
