    Been a customer since we moved here in 2018. Too bad loyalty doesn't matter to them. I keep asking to lower the bill because we only have wifi but need at least 1gig. If I were a new customer I could pay $65 but instead since I'm an old time loyal customer, I can stay with $100. I am cancelling. So sad. The customer reps could care less too and they'll just close the chat on you lol love it.

    Do not use rcn unless you absolutely have to , you’ll be without internet more than you have internet it’s like flushing money down the toilet . Unfortunately I live in a development where I can only have rcn , out of 30 days I’m without internet at least 20 but they are quick to demand your payment and do nothing about all the times the internet does not work !!!!!

    Very Very unhappy! My bill continually crept up to over $115 dollars! I saw the $40 for life offer and contacted them. I was told I could not take advantage of it. I told them I was going to cancel my plan and renew it under my wife's name. Then, they said they could help and after 45 minutes on the phone and agreement to pay a onetime $79.95 to install a new router I was assured that my bill would be $50 going forward. I am looking at my bill and it is $60!!! I called and got someone from another middle east country who listened poorly but finally told me what they didn't mention before, that to get to $50 I had to link automatic payment to my bank account and agree to paperless billing.

    For over 2-3 years I have had problems with getting my wifi to work. I have had many techs come out and they never solved any problems I was having. I was even threatened by one tech who refused to do anything to help my wifi situation and cancelled my appointment when I wouldn't let him bully me. This has been an ongoing nightmare for me just trying to get what I have been paying for for many years and not getting the services I had paid for. That is, until today. Today the most wonderful , terrific, super-knowledgeable , talented, and fantastic man came to help, Mr. Ben Ruth. Like a knight in shining armor, he approached the situation and identified many issues that were from outside of the house and a few things that could be upgraded inside with a modem from Astound. He was friendly, kind, and patient, and explained everything to me so that I would understand what the problems were. From cracked pieces on the wires outside to setting up the new modem, he explained every detail to me. I can't say that I have a full understanding of how this technology works , but I can say that I had complete and utter faith in Ben. His demeanor instantly set me at ease and made me comfortable. He fixed whatever needed fixing and tested whatever needed testing, and solved the problems with such speed and professionalism that I feel truly indebted to him for his help and kindness. Years of disappointment, stress, and frustration were rectified in 45 minutes by Ben. I was ready to cancel my service and sue Astound for the years of paying for wifi I was not getting and buying new modems and routers that didn't help the problem. Now I am grateful to the gods of wifi for sending Ben Ruth to solve my problem. Thank you Ben! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I have no doubt whatsoever that everything has been fixed and taken care of properly, such doubts were always looming with every other technician that has come here. But Ben Ruth was an absolute blessing!!! If you want your wifi sorted out and running the way it should be, ask for Ben Ruth!!! He is the greatest! Astound should double, no, triple his salary and promote him to teaching the other technicians their trade. He is the best!!! I can not say enough good things about Ben Ruth! Astound should award him for being their MVT, most valuable technician. Seriously, give that man a raise!!!

    I canceled my account months ago because every time a promotional offer expired, my bill would double or even triple. I had to call constantly just to get them to extend the offer so my bill wouldn’t skyrocket, and they only did it to keep me from canceling. This went on for years, and I finally got tired of the games. I only needed Wi-Fi, nothing else, so I switched to T‑Mobile...much more affordable and consistent. Now, after canceling, I suddenly get a $26 bill. When I called, I was told they sent my final $1 bill to an old, closed bank account and are now charging me a $25 fee because the payment didn’t go through. I asked them to waive the fee since they billed the wrong account, and I’m willing to pay the $1. They refused. Then they told me I could pay $11 instead, but if I paid over the phone, they’d add another $10 fee. Completely ridiculous. To make it even worse, they referred my account to a debt collector — I.C. System, Inc. — over this mess. Then I get an emailed copy of the “bill,” and it literally shows I owe $0. I told the rep I was perfectly fine with that, and she replied, “That’s a mistake, hold a few minutes so I can get that resolved.” Resolved what? I’m okay with a $0 balance. And now, suddenly, they can take the payment over the phone “without charging me the $10 fee.” Except instead of taking the $11 they claimed I owed, they processed the full $26 on my card — and told me they’ll refund the extra $15 in 1–3 business days. And if I’m not refunded, I can “call back.” For reference, the rep I spoke with was Amira. She said she couldn’t provide a call reference number but gave me a batch number and an adjustment code instead. The inconsistency is unreal. This entire experience has been nothing but confusion, fees, and runaround. Absolutely exhausting.
