I dont like how they have an AI scheduler thats faulty. Told me my tech was on the way to me an hour and a half ago and they only gave me a 2 hour window in the first place. Im expecting him quickly so instead of me waiting normally and having my pets out, I put up my pets and keep checking my window. When this whole time my animals could have been out. All for a feature no one even wants. Its super frustrating. Haven't been a cox customer in 7 years because of their crappy alarm system and how I was treated after my house was broken into with their alarm system and it didnt work at all. Starting to think it was a bad idea to give a 2nd chance.

4 outages a month, $150 a month for slower than advertised Coax internet. If you call during an outage it will automatically hang up on you.

Can we talk about how absolutely TERRIBLE Cox Fiber Internet is?
They advertise “fast fiber internet,” but apparently their definition of fast and mine are two completely different things. This service buffers ALL. DAY. LONG.
I can’t watch a single video without it buffering at least 7 times. That’s not an exaggeration. On our phones, videos stop and buffer every few seconds. What’s the point of paying for fiber internet if you spend more time staring at a loading circle than actually watching anything?
And let’s talk about their WiFi coverage claims. We were told the equipment would cover up to a 6,000-square-foot home. Our house isn’t even 2,700 square feet, and it can’t reliably reach every room. Not even close.
The problems started almost immediately. The system wasn’t even a month old when I reported the issues to Cox. Their solution? Send a technician out and charge ME $75.
Excuse me? Why am I paying $75 to diagnose a problem with brand-new equipment and service that has never worked correctly?
Then they tried telling me I should purchase their service protection plan.
No.
Why would I pay extra every month for protection on a problem that existed from day one? This isn’t my equipment. It’s not my devices. It’s not my house wiring. It isn’t my lines.
How do I know?
Because I still have Starlink.
The exact same devices, the exact same house, the exact same people using the internet.
Starlink reaches every device in the house. No buffering. No constant interruptions. No daily headaches. In 19 months, I had TWO issues. That’s it. TWO.
Meanwhile, Cox Fiber goes down practically every day between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., buffers nonstop, struggles to cover half the house, and then wants to charge me to investigate problems that existed from the beginning.
At this point, the only thing moving at fiber speed is Cox’s ability to send a bill every month.
If your internet can’t stream a video without buffering every few seconds, can’t cover a house that’s less than half its advertised range, and requires customers to pay to troubleshoot brand-new service, maybe it’s time to stop calling it “fiber” and start calling it what it is:
A very expensive loading screen.
Then, a few moments after I post my review on google, I get a notification that Cox has responded. Great, however they didn’t care to fix the issue prior to a bad google review. Pretty sad that it takes receiving a horrible review on google for cox to fix their service issue of their product and fiber service.
