Cox is a painful company to do business with and I hope the spread of ATT fiber will run them out of business. If I could use anything else at my apartment I would. I had a tech scheduled to come out today for an WEEK of completely unusable internet and he calls for half a second then hangs up. I try to call back and it brings me to a general line. I get a text shortly after saying he’s arriving in 10 min; ok, cool. Then I get a text saying my appt is cancelled.. guys, I work from home, I gave you time to resolve issues and then when I finally have to call, I get randomly cancelled because the other tech I was then speaking to (Narendra) says I did not answer. How was I supposed to answer a brief attempt to call me, and I can’t even call back or text to confirm? THEN Narendra tries to immediately upsell me to 2 gig internet when I’m not even getting the gig I pay for NOW and says a tech is $75 to come out and diagnose the issues? This is insane. PLUS the FIRST time I called and said “no thank you” to the extra $10 a month for “customer care” they did in fact add to my bill and I had to call and request it removed. They just want to wring you dry and give you the run around. No way are they getting more money. I’d rather go to back to ATT air than upgrade at this point.

In all my years of trying to reach customer service, I have never encountered a more aggravating experience, and that's saying A LOT. To think I haven't even actually started using these guys. I tried doing a quickconnect as I just moved into a new apartment that uses COX, well how about we just call this tortureconnect. After picking a plan online and filling in my details, they send me an email that I need to contact them to complete the process. Okay, no problem. I called and it said to call later that they were closed. Next day I call and I'm on hold for about 50 mins. Meanwhile I try chatting with a live agent because at this point I'm like how much longer will I wait for. This live agent on chat proves to be absolutely useless, and abruptly leaves the chat TWICE. He asks for my PIN and I tell him I don't have one because literally I haven't set up an account. Any reasonable sensible human being would explain and walk me through the process, 2 times he says I can't help you and leaves the chat IMMEDIATELY before I get a chance to respond! Finally my call is picked and I speak with a "nice" lady who tries to activate my service. The WiFi shows it's connected but it doesn't work, so she says she'll transfer me to someone else. I'm back on hold and this IVR thing keeps asking me to press 1 or 2 which I do and EVERY SINGLE TIME it basically can't pick up my response. And finally I hear we're closed please call back later. OVER AN HOUR with a chat and phone call live agent and I can't even activate my service!!!!! I'm disputing my payment with my bank and going with another service! To think the lady over the call was trying to get me to upgrade to a more expensive plan, and also talking about bundling a mobile plan. The audacity when you haven't even gotten the barest minimum right! Where I come from, we say "this is nothing but a madddd joke!"

I would highly recommend not using Cox for any of your business solutions. They will not allow any adjustments to your services or cancellation of your policy without paying out the full cost of your contract . I will never use cox again for personal or business!

The most unreliable service in my area. I have been with cox for many years, but it seems as though the longer they are around the more unreliable they become. Our internet and cable service goes out all the time. Then they say they are working to restore service, but it takes hours and sometimes days. They should be giving their customers discounts for even using their service! 👎

Always severely understaffed and/or slow. Expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour to speak with someone if you’re the third person in line.
