While installing there fiber line they entered my yard and cut my cable line, I confronted them and they were rude and did not care just saying that it happens and left. Will definitely not be using gateway fiber.

Since the merger, it has been literally one problem after another. They can't seem to locate my account when I call. Once I enter all my information then it finally recognizes me and it sends me over to someone who they say is support, but they're really not support? If there's any problems short of a reboot, which I'm capable of doing without someone telling me the steps by this point, they can't help with it. They sent me a new router 6 months ago because they said that was my problem. I called them to set it up and they have no record of ever sending me the router. They have no record that the router even exists, let alone it being sent to me. It says Gateway all over it. It literally came from them. So now I'm having the same problem that I have the last time, which was because the tower had an upgrade and it wasn't talking to my router and radio. It was a simple fix once they knew what the problem was but because there's this second layer of the support team, I can't get to anyone who can actually take care of the problem. I work from home, so I have to have my internet and it's so unreliable anymore that I think its time to shop for a new provider. They really need to do something better with their support team. They're all very nice, they're just not very helpful. And I have to wait up to an entire business day to get a phone call from someone who can provide the support to get it fixed, it's just unacceptable.

I usually don’t write reviews or comments, but my experience with Gateway Fiber compelled me to share this, especially for those who are heavily dependent on the internet, work remotely, or run an online business. We switched to Gatewafier in the hope of a reliable connection. There’s no doubt that the internet speed was great with the $75 monthly package. However, everything changed on Thursday when our internet suddenly went out. I called customer service and was told it was too late for assistance that day, and that a technician would be sent the following day. I had no choice but to accept that. The next day, the technician arrived and explained that the issue was coming from elsewhere and would need to be escalated to Tier 2 support. I asked whether I should contact anyone, emphasizing that I could lose clients without internet access. He advised me to call if the service was not restored by 2 PM. The internet was supposed to be fixed by 2 PM, but when it wasn’t, I called tech support around 2:30 PM, 3 or 4 times, and received no response. I then contacted customer service again, hoping for help, but once more, I was told it was too late to send anyone or provide any clear update on the issue. I explained that I could lose clients without internet access, and the response I received was that the company could offer a $20 gift card “if that helps.” I found that response very insulting. Long story short, it took four days for our internet to be restored. At this point, I am back in the market looking for a new provider. I have two words for anyone considering switching to Gateway Fiber: "THINK TWICE." And one word for those who already have it: "PRAY" that your internet doesn’t go down—because if it does, it could be out for days.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Firstly they tore up my yard to install a giant two foot access panel. When I asked them to move the access panel across the the street they refused. There's two common areas adjacent from my property that easily could of been used. Other utility companies have used these areas in the past so I see no reason why they couldn't of been used. My yard by far has the largest access panel in the neighborhood and it is a major eyesore. This project was not needed or warranted it was done simply out of corporate greed with no regard to other people's property. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Stay far away! Edit to response: I love how you guys always quote "Easement" and that you're a "Utility" just so you can tear up other people's property for your own financial gain. Most of us work hard for what we have and the last thing we want is another "internet" company coming in, destroying our property and bringing down our property values just to make a quick buck. We already had plenty of other existing options for internet before you guys showed up and created a mess. This is far from over. Word of mouth still counts for a lot and boy do I have a big mouth.
