Replaced my Xfinity with Gateway Fiber and so far its working great. Very noticeable speed difference. Will continue usage and update after some time for final conclusion. Sales Rep, Darwin, was polite and respectful. Answered all my questions and doubts before I decided to make the switch. Thank You. Installation day was a breeze. My installer, Mario, did a fantastic job. Very polite and respectful. Made sure to tell me the recommendated room for equipment placement, performed the installation within 30mins, and helped me setup my account and confirmed internet connection was established. Thank you

Great experience with the people I've spoken to. However, the internet is not reliable at all. For the 11 days since installation was completed, I've had three where I haven't had to call tech support. Two outages were to but fiber lines somewhere. The rest have been issues with the router or something else with a local line. Asked for a refund/credits and just get told to call someone else. Just my personal experience with this provider.

So far so good. The installer was very knowledgeable and efficient. He asked our input on where and how we wanted things routed and connected. I've been keeping an eye out for issues or glitches with our new service. All has been good so far. Just waiting for them to bury the lines.

Friendly staff and tech support which deserves an extra star, however product/services did not function as advertised. We had fiber optic installed early July and ever since then multiple times a day the speed has been severely limited (paying for 600 mbps, ran multiple spped tests that showed ranges from 0.24 mbps to 56 mbps while im 2 feet from the router) and our Wi-Fi would randomly disconnect multiple times a day as well for three to four minutes at a time. Called customer support they sent a tech out, swapped out some equipment, still didn't fix the issue and tried to do some Diagnostics remotely as well that ended up not being effective. Was really looking forward to fiber optic as it was supposed to be more reliable, cheaper, and faster. Discovered that was not actually the case at all. Was able to reach back out to our old provider and secure cheaper pricing for faster speeds than what gateway was offering. Be aware as I've heard from friends and family that there is an uptick in connectivity issues that they're experiencing and was told that part of the problem is a defect in their equipment that they have yet to resolve.

Waited a while to give a review to give them time during start up. Pros: fast set up, installer was great, very little outages and price. Cons: definitely not providing the speeds they promised. It seems the modem/router might be the culprit, when I run diagnostics in their plume app it says speed is in the 600’s but when I run check my internet speed test on my phone it’s in the 100’s causing basic things like watching tv shows/movies to freeze. I reached out to customer service and provided screenshots and a description of the issue and never heard back. Lastly they offer you a free month when you join and then a discount if you keep a gateway sign in your yard for a couple of weeks. They discounted the month then did the remaining price as free, so really all that for just one month? I thought that was kind of stingy. Probably going to stick with them until the end of the year and then go back to Xfinity. I think gateway has a wonderful idea, price point, and install team, however the service speed isn’t reliable enough for my daily needs at this point.
