- PGPatrice Gronwick5 days ago1.0I called at 4:30p yesterday to cancel our cable. We compared prices at other places and found Cox was too much. We wanted to keep internet. So the only way to do this was to use a chat box. Well, Angel G connected since I was transferred a couple of times. I told him I wanted to keep the internet but get rid of cable. Needless to say, listening isn't his strength. He kept coming back with different packages. I sat on the phone for an hour and 15 minutes telling him No to everything he offered. Finally, he tells me he'll cancel. Then he comes back to tell me my $50 internet that I had a little over a year is discontinued and I have to have the $75 one. I told him no, leave everything alone. I told him I was going to contact a manager. I ended the chat and found there wasn't a phone number, so I went back to the chat. A very nice lady listened and said she would take care of it. She came back with some other deal. I didn't want it. She continued the cancellation and left my internet that ai was paying $50 for. This chat took 20 minutes as it should. All that's left to do is return equipment. Why couldn't Angel G. handle it like this in the first place. This was a bad experience from him. If I change my mind in the future, not sure I would go with COX.
