  At this point, I am totally frustrated with COX, and if I can convince my husband to do so, I intend to switch to LUS Fiber, about which I hear only good things from friends and neighbors. We have panoramic Wi-Fi with COX, our home phone, and a television package with a lot of premium channels (My husband loves movies). Although our Internet and home phone are working fine, at least at the moment (knock on wood), our television service went "kaput" four days ago (tomorrow will be five), and when I telephoned COX, there was an automated message saying "there has been a network impacting event in your neighborhood" and that technicians were hard at work to solve the problem. I wanted to know the problem and when to expect resolution, so I opted to speak to someone in Technical Support, after which I also chatted with a "live agent" on the website, and they both echoed the message about the "network impacting event," but neither agent could tell me exactly what this "event" was or when it would be resolved. This "event" is supposed to be in my neighborhood; however, when I posted on my neighborhood's Facebook page and asked if anyone else was with COX and experiencing the same issue, the few COX customers who replied (most neighbors are with LUS) said they have television and it's working fine. So, are we the only customers without TV? What's really frustrating is that I cannot call a local number and speak to someone at the local office. I have to use a number that connects me with an agent in another state or even another country and that agent can't tell me anything I don't already know. What's more, miscommunication sometimes occurs because of a language barrier. We pay a lot for the television portion of our bill , but I do not intend to pay for the days we are without television. Of course, I'll pay the rest of the bill, including for the days we have TV. As I said, it's been four days now, tomorrow will be five, and I am losing patience. My husband and I are not young any longer, and we need reliable service. I want my television!
