New company (Spectrum) didn’t honored the words at store and changed prices (raised of course!). Be careful…they cut the internet service without a previous phone call…

I dropped off my equipment and cancelled my Internet service. The employee told me I would receive an email receipt but I asked for one right then in case there was some confusion I wanted proof of dropping it off. At first he didn't want to give me one so I waited for the email receipt. I waited 15 minutes and hadn't received an email. So I asked again for confirmation receipt of the equipment being dropped off and he reluctantly gave my a small printer receipt that had little details of the transaction. I called cox to make sure it was noted on the account that the equipment was returned and the account cancelled. The man on the phone was nice and helpful and confirmed it but then I get the email receipt (finally) which is a transfer of service receipt instead of a cancellation confirmation. So now I'm waiting on the phone again to make sure the guy from the store isn't transferring my service somewhere. This store is terrible. I'd avoid it if you can so a simple transaction doesn't become a time consuming part of your day.

This is the worst cable company on the planet. The constant outages, the insane lying from every aspect of the company, the malpractice of fake fees. Recently the Internet has went out for longer than 8 hours, they told us over text that the net would be restored by 1:20am. It is now 9:00am with no word of progress, just another lie from cox. I have never experienced more power outs and slower speeds in my life. The connection is innately slow even if you never “use up” all your data which is also something they lie about. This is an absolute monopoly on Gainesville and they deserve to be protested for how evil they are. Something needs to be done to replace this rancid company.

Customer service was excellent and we got what we needed with no problem. I would definitely recommend this store for service.
